The Jockey Club of Turkey boosted its stallion stock with five new bloods purchased from USA and Europe. The world famous stallions Dehere, Lion Heart and Powerscourt all acquired from Coolmore Studs in USA and Europe. "The three of a kind" purchases initiated an excitement among Turkish breeders who are now waiting for the breeding season to start. Succesfull sires Yonaguska and Cuvee was bought from Vinery and Gainesway Studs in Kentucky. The Kentucky-pair added with the Coolmore trio, made it to the "full house", so to speak. The purchase of the new stallions has also created noticeable echo also amongst the domestic and foreign racing media. After the buying of the new stallions, one thing is certain that the house will win eventually which the house being 'Turkish Breeding' in this scenario. The number of total stallions of Jockey Club of Turkey is now summed up to 27 and racing authorities throughout the world which is interested in Turkish racing more and more every year looks is convinced that a new big player is emerging in the racing industry.

Impatiently awaited 19 year old stallion Dehere was leased for one season by Jockey Club of Turkey. The stallion became the 2nd leading sire of North America in 2002 and gave many successful progenies up to date. Dehere whose sire Deputy Minister became champion sire twice in USA, is out of Sister Dot by triple Crown winner Secretariat. His progeny includes triple G1S winner Take Charge Lady($2.480.377) and triple G2S winner Graeme Hall($1.147.441). The other two stallions form Coolmore are Saddlers' Wells' US$ 1.650.OOO earning 10 year old son son Powerscourt and Tale of the Cat's 9 year-old son Lion Heart. Lion Heart now has the title of the youngest stallion of the Jockey Club Turkey.

Ceherokee Run's son Yonaguska, who was bought from Vinery Stud in Kentucky, had 155 winner in his first three crops, with approximately 8 million US Dollars earnings. He currently has 20 Balcktype winners. One other stallion from USA is Cuvee who has 7 blacktype winners out of 83 winning runners.
