RACE 1:Maiden Plate (F & M) 1200m Straight

TARA'S TIARA has been making some progress and has top workrider. DESTINY'S LADY has been consistent and stays on well. BIT O' SUNSHINE is consistent but is battling for that win. STAR CALLER is not that consistent and will have to put her act together to win after thirty attempts. Watch the first timer WHIRLWINDS SONG from the Paul Matchett yard.

RACE 2:Maiden Plate 24000m Bend

AZARIAS has improved recent form. Top workrider has the ride, PAGEANT PAGE is inconsistent but has had a few decent runs to suggest that he could have a shout. MORNING PATROL tends to weaken late but has placed this C & D. MADE YOU LOOK has more to do for the win but can place at best along with SHARP SHARP whose last run was his best in a while.

RACE 3:Maiden Plate (F & M) 1800m Bend

KZN raider POP PRINCESS has some good form and has run well this C & D. Looks hard to oppose. WHAT A ROSE was running on in her penultimate to finish a good second. Chance on that run. AMARILLO runs well this C & D and has an outside winning chance. FLIGHT FANTASTIC may be ready to show more improvement.  TE DANSANT could be looking for further. Place chance.

RACE 4:MR 74 Hcp (F & M) 1800m Bend

EL ROMANTICO has improved last two and was running on nicely last time. Chance on that.  JET ME TO THE STARS has a tendency to weaken late but can win a race such as this. SISHEBO has good form this distance.  LA CREOLE has gone off badly in her last two. Has a strong chance on previous very good form. MAJESTIC LITES has steady form but more to do for the win.

RACE 5:MR 71 Hcp 1600m Straight

BALANCE OF PAYMENT is holding form well and will be doing his best work late. YANKEE STADIUM ran a cracker over 1800m at Clairwood last time. Definite chance on that run.  BEACH CLUB will be doing his best work late and will be running on. SPLENDID TAMBUR disappointed when fading last time. Chance on earlier form. STRIKE A DEAL won his maiden last time. May need to confirm but has a place chance.

RACE 6:MR 80 Hcp 1400m Straight

FLO QUEST got it all wrong last time when he was hopelessly left at the start. That is not a true reflection of his ability. Give another chance. SHOWROOM has nice decent form and will be doing his best work late.  PROCURER hardly runs a bad race but tends to fade. GOLDEN CHARIOT appears to be coming back to form. Watch! FOREST must have a chance on a vastly improved latest effort.

RACE 7:MR 75 Hcp (F & M) 1400m Straight

HUMBERSTONE from the Mike De Kock yard looks to be the one to beat on consistent form. NEW GIRLFRIEND showed improvement last time when staying on at the finish. AMBER ICE is never too far back and can race handy. ROYAL PROGNOSIS ran a fair post maiden last time. Chance on that run. AKILAH has lost form and any form return would see him go very close if not win here. Top workrider up.

RACE 8:MR 72 Hcp 1200m Straight

SHALAKO runs well this distance and will be running on. Horses in training don't come more consistent than SAINT STEPHEN and he deserves all the respect that he can get. ADVANCE CALL stays on nicely and is never too far back. CASEY'S LIGHT does not have the strongest form but The Sean Tarry stable is in excellent form.VOLOVOLO will be doing his best work late and did run on well to win last time.
