RACE 1:Maiden Plate 1450m Bend

TAMARILLO made a nice debut last time when finishing sixth to Jet Command. Being a son of Fort Wood, the extra distance should suit more. HUGO THE BOSS was running on last time when making good improvement over 1400m at Greyville last time. Consider seriously this race. RAHKEE has threatened on numerous occasions in the past. Did not show in heavy going last time. LIBERTY EAGLE is holding form well and is a consistent place finder. Watch the betting on the first timer CHOICE WOOD.

RACE 2:Maiden Plate (F & M) 1200m Straight

CARLAS WISDOM did not show when trying 1400m for the first time last time. Back lover her more favoured distance and should be fighting it out. PRO REGINA also disappointed last time when racing over much further. The 1600m did not suit her last time and she also comes back down to a distance over which she has already placed. FRAGRANT BREEZE  could be ready to earn a place cheque at least. watch the Silvano first timer, CABOCHON, who may have been a bargain buy for a mere R80 000. Another first timer that could be worth watching for places is CAROL'S CALL.

RACE 3:Maiden Plate (F & M) 1200m Straight

RAISE THE RENT is well suited to this C & D. She has lost a little of her earlier form but should always be respected in this line up. The blinkers go on. Watch! KEEP THE KEY made very good improvement last time when staying on. The extra could suit. DANCING ARROW was disqualified last time when, after finishing second, her jockey weighed in light. Chance of making amends. The first timer SOULJA GAL could be worth having something to show. Anthony Delpech rides for visiting Gauteng trainers G/K Anthony. Another first timer that could be worth checking out is AIRBRUSH.

RACE 4:Maiden Plate 1000m Straight

RITZ CARLTON could be an upset waiting to happen. The pacifiers come off. He runs well at this track and over the distance and even though this is his twenty-fifth run as a maiden could upset. He is never too far back even though his positions don't flatter. Favourite is likely to be PAGEANTRY who made an excellent debut last time when showing good pace before fading. CALL THE KING has found form in his last three starts but has a bad tendency to fade late. Chance in this field. FAST DOT COM is not that reliable and has dull form but yet brighter than most in this line up. DANCE WITH RYAN has claims on some steady but uninspiring form.

RACE 5:Conditions Stakes (F & M) 1000m Straight

VAL DE RA has won all three of her starts and appears to be a most promising filly. She was returning from an eight month rest last time and should be even fitter today. The obvious one to beat.  PURPLE LAKE lost her unbeaten record at her fourth start last time. She is really fast and could give VAL DE RA a few headaches.. MIA JOSHUA has come back to form but may prefer 1200m. SPRING CLOVER has faced some good sorts in the past and this should be a tad easier. PRESS FOR PEACE has some fair form and can place. All of four of her wins have been over 1000m.

RACE 6:Kin's Pact Stakes (R100 000) 1000m Straight

ALL COLOURS won well on debut. She beat Furious Dancer that day by one length and she since went on to win. Furious Dancer races in the next race. She looks likely to improve even more on that run. Mike De Kock's KWACHA also won on debut last time but that was against weaker. Improvement likely. LEGAL ACCOUNT ran on to win on debut last time. Can also fight it out. ENGLISH ASPEN ran a good post maiden last time and should have a shout. POPPINS made a nice debut last time when showing good pace over 1000m at Greyville. She faded late to finish a creditable second. Minor placing chance.

RACE 7:Sentinel Stakes (R100 000) 1000m Straight

This could be a two-horse race between FURIOUS DANCER and COUNTLESS TIMES. FURIOUS DANCER ran a very good post maiden last time when beaten just over a length by COUNTLESS TIMES last time. COUNTLESS TIMES won that race on debut and she looks to be well above average and should go on from that debut run. She has been penalised 2.5kg for that 1.25 length win making the race a potentially closely fought one. A first timer to consider is GO GO LOOCHEE. EXTREME WEST and HOW MANY WON can place but have yet to show.

RACE 8:Umsinzi Handicap (MR) (R100 000) 1800m Bend

SILVER FANTASY has been facing far stronger in recent times and even though she hasn't won in a while her form against some of the best fillies and mares in the land has been very good. She campaigned in Cape Town during the Summer Season and was far from disgraced. She has the class to win a race such as this despite the 62kg on her back. Top KZN jockey Sean Cormack rides for Glen Kotzen. BOLD WONDER has a small winning chance on some fair runs but will have to go some to beat SILVER FANTASY. TEA BREAK is never too far back and will be running on late. MARITIME MIST, CLARKIES PROMISE and SPANISH WISDOM all have place chances.

RACE 9:Maiden Plate 1800m Bend

MONETARY STAR has excellent form and his maiden days should not be too far away from finally ending. He races handy and should be right there at the finish. RIP 'N TEAR showed very good improvement last time and should have a shout on that run. LEOPARD TREE tends to fade but is nevertheless too far back. The blinkers go on DAY BY DAY today. Watch! RAPPORTEUR has claims on his penultimate run, albeit a small claim at that.
