The Japan Racing Association (JRA) announced that a short-term riding jockey's license has been issued to Hong Kong-based South African jockey, Douglas Whyte. The short-term riding license is effective from July 24 thru August 29, 2010.
He will be primarily riding for owner, Katsumi Yoshida, and his host trainer, Yasutoshi Ikee, of JRA Ritto Training Center.
On his first day that the track he oide 5 horses for 2 wins including Meiner Starry in a 2000m Group 3.
