Stacelita pulled out all the stops to repel Godolphin's Antara in the Darley Prix Jean Romanet at Deauville.

The former, runner-up to Midday in the Nassau Stakes at Goodwood last time out, was sent off the even-money favourite and hit the front at the top of the straight under Christophe Soumillon.

Frankie Dettori threw everything at Antara to try to bridge the gap but Stacelita, a triple Group One winner last year, found just enough to take further top-level honours.

Luca Cumani's Contredanse finished a narrow second as the Soumillon-ridden Lily Of The Valley landed the Darley Prix De La Nonette.

The Jean-Claude Rouget-trained winner was sent off the 7-4 favourite to continue her excellent run of form in the Group Three contest and travelled strongly.

Kieren Fallon kicked for home on Contredanse in the straight and she maintained her advantage until the dying strides, with Lily Of The Valley just getting up.

The other two British raiders, Mick Channon's Gallic Star and Roger Ingram's Silver Grey, were unplaced.

Cumani and Fallon were also out of luck in the Group Two Darley Prix Kergorlay as Americain took the honours under Gerald Mosse.

Alain de Royer-Dupre's five-year-old hit the front in the final furlong and was chased hard by Manighar, who had been in rear for much of the way, but Fallon's mount came up just short.
