The likelihood of Black Caviar competing at Meydan in March has been diminished after trainer Peter Moody said her two entries on Dubai World Cup night were "purely speculative".
Connections of the Australian superstar generated a degree of excitement after her name appeared as a potential runner for the Golden Shaheen and the Al Quoz Sprint. Moody, however, is keen to play down the chances of the six-year-old taking up either engagement.
The handler told Press Association Sport: "We are just keeping every single option open, so I wouldn't read too much into it at this moment in time. It's purely speculative at this stage."
Black Caviar is unbeaten in 16 starts and was earlier this month officially rated the second-best horse in the world, behind Frankel.
The daughter of Bel Esprit is due to begin her 2012 campaign in the Australia Stakes at Moonee Valley on Friday week, after which she is poised to have two more races at home.
Moody resisted the urge to run her at Royal Ascot last summer, but has made no secret of his desire to take her to Berkshire this June.
He said: "The plan is to have the three races at home, starting at Moonee Valley, and then we'll sit down and have a think about where we go. Everything is geared to Royal Ascot."
