RACE 1:Maiden Plate 1200m Bend

IMPARTIAL JUSTICE has the form to win the opener this evening. He has run three time at this track for three seconds. Usually runs on. HILAAL (Mike De Kock/Anthony Delpech) did not show at Scottsville last time. Best runs have been at this track. Must have a chance. BLACK PLATINUM did not improve with blinkers last time. They have been removed. Is proving to be expensive to follow. BROMPTON'S LAD ran his best race last time when setting a good pace. Could be the pace setter for stable companion, IMPARTIAL JUSTICE. GOLDEN RUBY makes his debut. The betting could be the best guide.

SELECTIONS: 1st - IMPARTIAL JUSTICE * (2); 2nd - HILAAL (6); 3rd - BLACK PLATINUM (1); 4th - BROMPTON'S LAD (5); 5th - GOLDEN RUBY (14)

RACE 2:Maiden Plate (F & M) 1200m Bend

MALIBU MOON (Mike De Kock/Anthony Delpech) did not show when backed on debut last time. Give another chance. SHOW BELLE improved by over eleven lengths last time. Claims on that improvement. PLATINUM FOX (Michael Roberts/Brandon Lerena) has been showing improvement in recent starts. Must have a shout. YOU ARE THE ONE has steady form but stable is off form! SADDLE ME UP has shown small improvement in her last two starts. More to do for the win.

SELECTIONS: 1st - MALIBU MOON * (11); 2nd - SHOW BELLE (1); 3rd - PLATINUM FOX (5); 4th - YOU ARE THE ONE (2); 5th - SADDLE ME UP (6)

RACE 3:Maiden Plate (F & M) 1200m Bend

CONSTITUTION has only placed at this track. Stays on well. Anton Marcus rides again. PRAYER OF PRAISE has yet to run a bad race in any of her four starts to date. Should be in the shake up. TULLYNALLY (Michael Roberts/Brandon Lerena) just failed to get up to beat Paris Match last time. Ran on really well that day. Consider. ALBERTS DAUGHTER improved by thirteen lengths last time. LILY OF LONDON may place at best. penultimate run was her best effort to date.

SELECTIONS: 1st - CONSTITUTION * (1); 2nd - PRAYER OF PRAISE (3); 3rd - TULLYNALLY (2); 4th - ALBERTS DAUGHTER (6); 5th - LILY OF LONDON (5)

RACE 4:Maiden Plate 2000m Bend

SUGAR RAY set a good pace when finishing second in both of his last two starts. Chance if repeating. This is no strong field of maidens. ROKOCOKO (Charles Laird/Anton Marcus) has no form but consider with the alumites going on this evening and the trainer/jockey combination. NEW RESOLUTION has some decent maiden form but tends to fade. WHALE SONG is improving and must have a shout with Anthony Delpech aboard. MOJAV showed good improvement last time and is not out of it. Respect MCALLISTOR on a fantastic twenty three length improvement last time.

SELECTIONS: 1st - SUGAR RAY * (1); 2nd - ROKOCOKO (15); 3rd - NEW RESOLUTION (5); 4th - WHALE SONG (6); 5th - MOJAV (2) DANGER: MCALLISTOR (10)

RACE 5:
MR 73 Hcp 1300m Bend

INSURGENT (Dean Kannemeyer/Anton Marcus) has had some decent runs since moving to the KZN satellite yard from Cape Town. Watch with Anton Marcus aboard for the first time. READ MY HEART (Gavin Van Zyl/Raymond Danielson) has shown good improvement in his last three starts. By and large this son of Dynasty has been disappointing. SAVONA (Alec Laird) has consistency  to possibly get his through in this race. The last two efforts from OUTBACK KING were his best in a long while. Running on in those two. NATIONAL SECURITY is a bit inconsistent but must have a place chance at best.

SELECTIONS: 1st - INSURGENT * (1); 2nd - READ MY HEART (2); 3rd - SAVONA (8); 4th - OUTBACK KING (3); 5th - NATIONAL SECURITY (12)

RACE 6:MR 91 Hcp (F & M) 1400m Bend

DADEWETHU has improved in her last two starts. Looks to be well weighted with a chance. REASON TO BELIEVE has raced against far stronger. Could have found the 1600m of the Flamboyant Stakes a bit too far. Expect a good effort tonight. SIX BLUE NOTES (Glen Kotzen) has improved in her last two starts and must be considered along with MAGIC TREASURE who is also improving. TALENTE (Charles Laird) must have a shout with an apprentice claim of 4kg.

SELECTIONS: 1st - DADEWETHU * (9); 2nd - REASON TO BELIEVE (2); 3rd - SIX BLUE NOTES (6); 4th - MAGIC TREASURE (5); 5th - TALENTE (7) DANGER: SILENT CALL (10)

RACE 7:MR 74 Hcp (F & M) 1400m Bend

SHE'S A DIME has been racing against far better fillies and mares. Must have a very good chance despite the 60kg she has to carry as she takes quite a sharp drop in class. AMERICAS CUP (Alec Laird) is in good form and in her last two starts she has been doing good work late. Must have a very good chance in this field. AL NADIRA is never too far back but needs to find a more sustained finish. NORDIC ECLIPSE has not shown since her first two starts when winning on debut and then following that up with a good third. Her latest two starts have been way below expectations. Expect improvement with Anton Marcus aboard for the first time.

SELECTIONS: 1st - SHE'S A DIME * (1); 2nd - AMERICAS CUP (9); 3rd - AL NADIRA (15); 4th - NORDIC ECLIPSE (8); 5th - UPITY ANN (2)

RACE 8:MR 76 Hcp 1400m Bend

NORTHERN EMPEROR (Charles Laird/Anton Marcus) won on debut last time when unfancied. Anton Marcus takes the ride this time and he must have a good chance of making it two from two. Looked impressive on debut. JACK HOBBS (Dean Kannemeyer/Muzi Yeni) tends to lose ground at the start but last time he made that ground up and ran on to win a neck decision. Respect. SURRUPTITIOUS drops in class and must have a chance in this weaker field. CHARRO NEGRO (Joey Ramsden) did not show last time when sent off as favourite at Scottsville. Chance on previous form. AUTO PILOT (Charles Laird/Anthony Delpech) has been a bit disappointing in his last two starts. Scope for improvement.

SELECTIONS: 1st - NORTHERN EMPEROR ** (9); 2nd - JACK HOBBS (2); 3rd - SURRUPTITIOUS (1); 4th - CHARRO NEGRO (8); 5th - AUTO PILOT (5)

RACE 9:MR 78 Hcp 1600m Bend

CAPE TOWN has steady form but he takes sharp drop in class. he will be doing his best work late. The apprentice claim of 4kg will alleviate the 63.5kg he was to have carried in this race. PRIZEFIGHTER ran on very well to win easily last time when supported in the betting. Could repeat. CHIPNPUTT has some fair form this class and could benefit from Anthony Delpech riding and the light mass of 53kg. UBIZO (Glen Kotzen) has a claim over this distance. PUCCINI is coming to hand. His latest effort was his best for a while. C & D suited.

SELECTIONS: 1st - CAPE TOWN * (1); 2nd - PRIZEFIGHTER (2); 3rd - CHIPNPUTT (11); 4th - UBIZO (6); 5th - PUCCINI (4)

RACE 10:
Maiden Plate 1600m Bend

This could be a two-horse race between BENJAMIN BRUSH and GIDA. BENJAMIN BRUSH will be running on and his current form is good enough to win. GIDA has improved in his last two but has been fading. Improved chance with Anton Marcus aboard. DESERT RAPTOR improved by seven lengths in his second start last time. Chance on that. SUNCAT is never too far back. Brandon Lerena rides. HURRICANE HUNTER is also never too far back and should earn.

SELECTIONS: 1st - BENJAMIN BRUSH * (5); 2nd - GIDA (4); 3rd - DESERT RAPTOR (11); 4th - SUNCAT (2); 5th - HURRICANE HUNTER (7)
