DE KOCK'S STAR EAGLE MOUNTAIN TO RETURN TO RACING IN NZ

The much travelled Grade 1 winner, Eagle Mountain once trained by Aiden O'Brien and then Mike De Kock, will return to racing in New Zealand after a failed attempted at stud.

The son of Rock of Gibraltar, winner of the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Cup in 2008 for Mike De Kock is now eight and will be trained by Stephan McKee. He has major fertility issues hence his return to racing.

He is set to make his return to the track in the Group 1 Haunui Farm Otaki-Maori Classic with Leith Innes in the irons over a mile.

Eagle Mountain spent two years at stud at Brighthill Farm before his connections withdrew him from stud duty.

Word from the trainer is that they are looking at races in Australia in the Autumn should he progress well through this next few races.
