EAGLE MOUNTAIN SECOND LAST ON GROUP 1 RETURN

The once mighty Eagle Mountain was a disappointment on his Group 1 racing return after a failed stud attempt. The stallion had run 3rd in his first attempt after stud duties in a 1000m sprint.

The former Mike De Kock and Aiden O'Brien group 1 winner, was second last in the Group 1  Haunui Fair Otaki-Maori WFA Classic.

The race was won by 12/10 favourite Veyron, his third group 1 win in total.
