AUSTRALIAN WONDER MARE CREATES HISTORY

Australia's unbeaten wonder mare Black Caviar has done it again, winning her 20th straight race to set an Australasian record in the Group One Sportingbet Classic at Morphettville.

The Peter Moody-trained, Luke Nolen-ridden Black Caviar treated her rivals with disdain in the 1200m $400,000 feature, delighting the unprecedented sell-out crowd of 30,000.

It was the five-year-old mare's first start since winning the Lightning Stakes (1000m) at Flemington 10 weeks ago, and Nolen gave her as easy a run as possible.

Black Caviar was one of the best to begin but Nolen allowed Just Sybil and Spurcific to head the champion, settling her in third place under a tight hold until nearing the home turn.

When he released the brakes at the top of the straight, Black Caviar showed the acceleration which had carried her to nine previous Group One wins and strode well clear of her rivals.

To the cheers of the crowd, Black Caviar careered away to easily beat Sistine Angel with Power Princess third. - Sky Racing

I believe she's only good for Australia. As long as we don't see her in England she's only running against her own shadow down under. I think she's overrated!...just my opinion :-)

you run where the money is.Compare the stakes in australia compared to england. She is going to england for her next start all being well, plus running down the straight suits her better than going round the turn.So england will suit her even better.

We shall wait and see. She was kept away from real competition when her trainer refused the Dubai challenge - the stakes was $2 million!!! So what do you reply about that?
