JUST BE BRAVE has had two good runs to date. Will go close on those efforts. SOUL SACRIFICE (Justin Snaith/Felix Coetzee) is a well bred debutant. Watch the betting. DIAMOND STRIKE  showed improvement in his second start last time. Has claims. GOOI MIELIES has had many chances. Will benefit from an apprentice claim of 4kg. LEX NON SCRIPTA is another making his debut. Betting should be the best guide. Karl Neisius rides.

UNTAMED (Greg Ennion) made a very good debut last time. Showed good finish. Stable in cracking form. VARIETY STAR (Justin Snaith/Felix Coetzee) is another who showed up well on debut last time. Stayed on well despite racing green for most of the way. BLUE TRAIN (Justin Snaith/Bernard Fayd'Herbe) should improve on a moderate debut last time. OUR WAY (Vaughan Marshall/MJ Byleveld) is never too far back. Stable has lost a bit of form in recent weeks. CAT'S PAW (Justin Snaith/Richard Fourie) should have more to find for the win.

FABIANI (Glen Kotzen/Grant van Niekerk) has raced against some of the best horses in the country. Maybe better suited to the shorter trips. Consider on class. C MAJOR (Mike Bass/Karl Neisius), on the other hand, loves the distance. Has been fading over slightly further. HAMMIE'S BOY (Mike Bass/Bernard Fayd'Herbe) is well suited to this distance. Maybe losing form. GRAFTON STREET loves this C & D and is coming into some form. FOREST OF DEAN tends to fade but can never be ignored.

CYPRESS POINT has more to find to overturn a seven-and-a-half beating by CAP ALRIGHT last time.TRUST FUND is holding form well. Has a shout. MONEY SURGER has run his best races this C & D. THE WEST IS WIDE (Vaughan Marshall/MJ Byleveld) is also showing potential with three wins from five starts. Watch for a good late run. SILVANO'S JET (Joey Ramsden/Glen Hatt) won his maiden last time. Even though he won by four lengths, he may need to confirm. HALF MOON HOTEL (Vaughan Marshall/Karl Neisius) has more to find. Place chance. NOVEMBER RAIN (Justin Snaith/Richard Fourie) ran a fair post maiden run last time. More to find for the win.

Has a chance on his win at his penultimate start. MAXIXE (Joey Ramsden/Glen Hatt) was running on last time after a slow start. has run on four occasions this C & D and has won three of them. More to find this league but must have a shout. PLATINUM CAT (Glen Kotzen/Felix Coetzee) has good form and should be running on late. NORTHERN HERITAGE (Mike Bass/Karl Neisius) won well in good company over shorter last time. Every chance of repeating.

They meet each other on level weights last time and it could be touch and go as to who will prevail this afternoon. There should be as little separating them again today. CROWN OF GOLD (Joey Ramsden/Glen Hatt) will be running on strongly. SERGEANT AT ARMS will have to find more to win but has a place chance. HOLLARD STREET (Dean Kannemeyer) also has more to find this field.

THE PROFESSOR has steady form. DANZEY GREEN has fair form and Felix Coetzee rides.
