CORMACK, KOTZEN PART WAYS

Rider Sean Cormack (pictured) and trainer Glen Kotzen have officially parted ways.

The powerful stable of Kotzen and top jock Cormack, trainer and rider of the star filly, Princess Victoria, were under public pressure after the fillies defeat at Scottsville in the S.A Fillies Sprint when the jockey felt that his best option for victory was the part that he took the filly home. Scottsville's track on the day favoured a run down the inside of the course and it was cutting up on the day. The filly was well beaten in the event after entering the race as a warm favourite.

Unfortunately even though Cormack redeemed himself and the reputation of the filly in her subsequent start with a smart victory, the relationship had been strained and ended late last week.

This is not the first time something like this has happened. I think Cormack is still well-off now riding for D.Drier. The stable has alot of very promising young horses. In the end it could be for the better for the talented rider. Watch him in the July!!!!
