RACE 1:Maiden Plate (F & M) 1400m Bend

INCA LAKE made a good debut this C & D last time when finishing second this C & D. The one to beat. MARRY ME MULLINS showed good improvement, also this C & D last time. CHICK OF THE GAME has had two good latest efforts and should be thereabouts again. Watch for further improvement from DRUM GIRL. OLYMPIC VICTORY is yet another who will be looking to improve her form.

RACE 2:Maiden Plate (F & M) 2000m Bend

On the evidence of her latest effort when running on to finish second over 1800m, FLEURISTE must go close. TIZASMARTDOLLAR has good form and could break her maiden this afternoon. PARIS SYMPHONY will more than likely also be running on. Has decent form. DIVA TAAHIRA has good form over shorter and this is her best track. TYPHOON TASH is one that may improve this field.

RACE 3:Maiden Plate 1600m Bend

DEVIL'S DOLLAR ran on when making his debut last time. Could be hard to beat if confirming that run. PARKER showed very good improvement last time when making his PE debut. LOVE IS MAGIC runs for the twenty-sixth time. Has a few decent runs under his belt. AL-JAZAIR could be improving again. MY SANTANA showed good improvement in his second start last time.

RACE 4:MR 74 Hcp  (F & M) 1600m Bend

LIGHT THE MOON takes a massive drop in class. Makes his PE debut. Cape Town form was not good but she must have a chance in this field, despite the 60.5kg. Is over her best distance. RED SCENT ran well against males last time. Form has been good. PLAYED ON has not won in a long while but form has been decent. SURGING STAR timed her run far too late last time. Chance on that good run. CHABLIS could be improving again.

RACE 5:MR 74 Hcp  (F & M) 1600m Bend

CELEBRATION has improved since moving up from KZN. Ran on strongly last time. PEBBLE PATH was rewarded for consistency last time. Can repeat in this field. BALLINAMORE drops in class. May do something here. PINDAN BLUE is never too far back. CINNAMON is unlikely to trouble the judge for first place, but can earn a small cheque.

RACE 6:MR 90 Hcp 1400m Bend

ON GOLDEN POND loves this C & D and has every chance of making it three wins a row. One can never ignore the chances of the nine year old, SURFIN' USA. He does carry 66.5kg, minus an apprentice claim of 4kg. Drops in class. Must be on to keep an eye on. LONDON'S LEGEND won well last time but steps up in class. OXFORD DON may appreciate the step up in trip. MANGALISO also steps up in class. Finishes well and may get close with a light mass.

RACE 7:MR 75 Hcp 1400m Bend

Despite the 62kg VAROMA has to carry, he has the class to win this afternoon. He is ideally C & D suited and can repeat his win by over four lengths last time over this C & D. MILLION MILES was running on well last time. FORENZIC has a chance on his form this C & D. ADMIRAL JOHN PETER made a good PE debut at Fairview last time. Consider. ODYSSEY OF LIGHT ran on to win last time. Has a chance on that run.

RACE 8:Friendly City Stakes (Non-Black Type) (R90 000) 2000m Bend

MAKZOOS has steady form and is holding that form well. ALL ABLAZE ran on well to win this track but over 1000m last time. Chance if repeating. ECOLE MILITAIRE could be improving. Well suited to this C & D. PARCEVAL takes on stronger but has good consistent form. ZEZINHO CAMPEAO should not be written off. Form is good but this will be tougher.

RACE 9:Novice Plate 1000m Straight

EMERALD GEM has not looked that convincing since she won her maiden three runs back. It is not beyond her to improve in this particularly weak field. MAAK 'N PLAN has some decent post maiden form. ROYAL TREASURE did not show over 1600m last time. Should prefer being back over the sprint distance. JUNGLE RULER is battling for her second win. Moderate form. JETSCREEN may improve with the blinkers this afternoon.
