RACE 1: Maiden Juvenile Plate (F) 1000m Straight

TAMAYIM (Mike De Kock/Robbie Fradd) has run on three occasions and hr last two runs have shown the necessary improvement to suggest that she could win this afternoon. FIT TO FLIGHT has shown good form, but in Kimberley and whether she can bring that same form to this track and company remains to be seen. STAGE ATTRACTION showed very good improvement in her second run last time. Warrants utmost respect. TOP NOTCH is coming back to form. SIOUX SHE has been losing form but may ultimately prefer the sand.

RACE 2: Maiden Plate 1000m Straight

HIGHLAND LAD is totally inconsistent but he could improve with Piere Strydom who rides him this afternoon. Ran on last time. TORNADO TWISTER tends to weaken and the blinkers go on. TEMPERED STEEL did not show in a workriders last time. Has run a good race this C & D before. RAPID BEAT ran his best race when weakening late over this C & D two runs back. GABRONZA has not shown much in three runs but respected trainer/jockey combination.

RACE 3: Maiden Plate 1600m Bend

DRAGON VEIN is unbeaten after two and at this track but has not raced since November. This could be harder but must have a shout all the same even though it is over slightly shorter which may suit. MAGIC SMOKE is improving again. Sets a very fast pace but weakens late. SHATTERED IMAGE has run in two small features in her last two, and is improving. Chance this time. ELEGANT BAY only won her maiden at the thirteenth attempt last time. More to find but a place chance, JET SET MODEL (Sean Tarry) has steady KZN form.

RACE 6: MR 76 Hcp 1200m Bend

WHITE SQUALL does well this C & D but form is rather patchy. Ran on well last time for third. TAKAAMUL was staying on last time when making solid improvement at this track. Must have a decent shout if repeating that effort. START YOUR ENGINES won his maiden at the seventh attempt last time. Will more than likely have far more to do in this field. AUTHENTICATED has not raced for four months. Latest run was an improvement. ALWAYSAWINNER seems to leave his best runs for Flamingo Park.

RACE 7: MR 90 Hcp 1200m Bend

DENNIS THE MENACE was well rewarded for consistent form last time. Has improved vastly since Piere Strydom has been riding him. He rides him again this afternoon and should go close to repeating that form. BENBOW fought hard to win over 1000m at this track last time. Chance if not finding the extra too far. HALLOWED will need to repeat his penultimate. FUNNY GLORY is holding form well. Chance if staying on and if overcoming the wide draw. HANG FIRE has very good current form but over 1000m. Place chance.

RACE 8:MR 64 Hcp (F & M) 1200m Bend

SHOW AND TELL improved markedly in the two runs before winning her maiden last time. Piere Strydom who rode him to that impressive victory last time, has retained the ride. DANIELLE won her maiden at the eleventh attempt last time. May need to confirm. FAB CAT won her maiden at the sixth attempt last time but she has always had good maiden form and that win came as no surprise. Could be one to follow again. FOR FRELUCHE has been losing form. Chance on earlier form. DYING THUNDER also has poor form but could improve.

RACE 9: MR 64 Hcp (F & M) 1200m Bend

WEEKEND SPECIAL did show very good improvement last time when running on last time. Could get quite close this afternoon. BEAUTIFUL DAWN is C & D suited and Piere Strydom has the ride. BOUJIS weakened last time but had been running on the two runs before that. Should be in the mix. MOONRIVER MAGIC will need to repeat her penultimate start. Is C & D suited. FLYING WENDY could be improving again. Gavin Lerena has the ride.
