PETER CULTURE won a small feature when winning his maiden two runs back. Did not show last time. Respect. SPRITZER finished ten lengths behind PETER CULTURE last time. Is 4kg better off. Gap should be closer. ARUM POT has had two consistent starts. Should improve. PIMPERNEL ran on when making his debut last time. Watch for improvement. TAARISH makes his debut for the Mike De Kock trained first timer.

GLENSHEE (Mike De Kock/Muzi Yeni) ran on well when making her debut last time. Two year old taking on older fillies and mares! ROYAL NISHA ran on strongly to finish a close up second last time. Could prefer the extra distance. DUX runs for the thirteenth time. Fair form. FAST JET was returning from an eight month break last time. Should be far fitter and would have needed the run. MEAN LIKE MOM is never far back. Don't ignore.

RACE 4: MR 79 Hcp 1450m Bend

PROTEST SONG has been dropping in class. Ran on well to win over 1400m at Greyville last time. Could go close in this field. MAILYAHKE has improved in his last three. Has the services of Bernard Fayd'Herbe this afternoon. ACT FAST has faced far stronger in features in Cape Town. Has been weakening just lately. On ability one has to include her. Current ante post favourite. OCCHI DI LUPO showed very good improvement in a competitive field at Scottsville a few weeks ago. Is coming back to form. CHERBOURG is inconsistent but can be running on late.

RACE 6: MR 72 Hcp (F & M) 1200m Straight

ADVANCE WARNING returned to the track for the first time in almost a year when eventually breaking her maiden last time. One to consider as a strong contender this time as she should be a fitter proposition. Ran on strongly that day. SECRET PLEDGE has had a decent run of post maiden form and should go close. Ran on last time. NORDIC LASS (Dennis Drier) will be running on. Runs well for this young apprentice. Good form this C & D. MONA LISA has been less than a length behind in each of her last three runs including her maiden win this C & D three runs back. Go close again. WEST END finished strongly at this track to win for the third time, but over 1000m. Don't ignore.

RACE 7: MR 70 Hcp (F & M) 1800m Bend

QAHAL'S APPLAUSE (Duncan Howells/Alec Forbes) has some good post maiden form and stays on well over similar. The 1800m may be more to her liking. Only win was this C & D. Stable companion, MISTY MORN is holding form well enough but QAHAL'S APPLAUSE could be stable elect with Alec Forbes riding. Has a very powerful turn of foot. MOON BY NIGHT showed improvement when making her KZN debut last time. This Stan Elley inmate could surprise. DAME VICTORIA ran a very promising post maiden last time. Back against similar opposition. Could feature yet again. Faded late over 1900m last time. NYONI won her maiden last time. May need to confirm.

BLAZE THE TRAIL ran his best race in eight last time when finding a strong finish despite being slow away. Can go close. EMINENCE DAY (Mike De Kock/Anthony Delpech) could be hard to oppose if repeating his second start last time and will finish well. BADGER FRIENDLY (Dennis Drier/Sean Cormack) has shown good improvement in his last two starts. Could pick up that maiden win soon. CARIBBEAN DAY has yet to show at this track but is clearly getting better with each run. SPIN A COIN is improving but may find this too far.

RACE 9: Maiden Plate 2000m Bend

RITZ COCKTAIL showed very good improvement last time, in his second start. Further improvement likely. LORD ROSE has put together a few decent runs in his ten starts. Ran on well last time. NICK JAGGER ran on nicely last time. Should be involved late. I'M ALONER has shown improvement in his last two. Thirteenth run as a maiden. CULA has steady form. Not out of it.
