RACE 1: Maiden Juvenile Plate 1200m Straight

ONE TRACK MIND has had three consecutive seconds this C & D. On those efforts he should have a very good chance this field, especially seeing that there are quite a few first timers. Of the first timers that could make an impression this race are HE'S A NADOE, TINO'S MAGIC, KING OF INDIANS and REGAL WARRIOR. Please check the betting on these first timers as well as the balance of the first timers. Could be quite a headache!

RACE 2: Maiden Plate (F & M) 1200m Straight

RED VELVET has been making slow improvement since making a weak debut three runs back. Could be worth following each way. LONDON FEVER finished well last time for a three length second when running her best race for a while. MISS IMPERIAL has run only three times where her last two have been very good. Will be running on and has placed second this C & D. RESET IN BLUE ran on well last time despite racing wide into the straight. That was her best run in three. MYOSOTIS has been having problems at the start. Chance if jumping on terms.

RACE 3: Maiden Plate 1200m Straight

IVOR'S VICTORY loves this C & D and ran his best race in six last time when showing good speed. LEGATEE also ran his best race last time when running on. Could challenge strongly in this race. NATIONAL AL has been a consistent performer in recent starts. Should give another good account of himself. Ran on last time. The extra should suit. FAVOUR THE BOLD has steady form but needs to find a better finish. NO QUESTION has been showing slow improvement.

RACE 4: Maiden Plate 2400m Bend

ICEMBERG returned to winning ways last time when winning after a lengthy break from the number one box. Ran on well that day. Best form is at Arlington though. SEDGE meets ICEMBERG at level weights after having lost to him by just over a length. Is unbeaten this C & D (2 from 2). NOVEMBER RAIN has very good form but against  weaker horses. THREE CAPTAINS weakens but may benefit from 4kg off his back. BOB 'N WEAVE has weaken form but has good form this C & D.

RACE 6: MR 78 Hcp 1200m Straight

BREEZING THROUGH has good form and came from behind to win this C & D last time. MONEY FOR LOVE returned to form on his PE debut last time when running on. Still finished eighth but was less than two lengths back. THE FORD ran on last time and is well suited to this C & D but has not won in ages. CAMANCHO is never too far back and was running on last time. CAVALAR has very good and consistent form but tends to weaken.

RACE 7: Lady's Slipper Stakes (2-Year-Old Fillies) (R130 000) 1400m Bend

YOSHIE shows plenty of heart. Has already won a two-year-old feature. Has an excellent record in only five starts: 5(4-1-0). Looks set to continue to run well at this level. DARLING MOON has been racing in Cape Town. Ran an excellent post maiden last time when running on. Should finish in the first two or three. NDLOVUKAZI is still a maiden after four starts with three thirds. More to find to beat YOSHIE. PIPETTE ran on strongly last time. Still a maiden after three starts. FREE FLIGHT has improved in her last two. Also still a maiden.

RACE 8: Conditions Plate (F & M) 1400m Bend

STORMY COAST has finished close up second in both of his last two starts and has been finishing well in both. Should go close again. FLY EMIRATES has been consistent but over way further. On form and ability should be in the firing line. RUSH FOR JOHN has faced far stronger in Cape Town with the odd runs in PE. On ability shown against stronger and over further should be considered. Is ante post favourite. POPPINS will be running on and is C & D suited. HURRICANE KATRINA has faced stronger and will benefit from the 4kg off the 63kg set to carry. Form has been patchy though.
