Stable companion, TELL ME MORE may also be worth following as another first timer. VARISTAR, son of VAR, makes his debut. Is ante post favourite.

BEDEFAY was running on last time. Has finished third in each of her last three runs. Must have a shout. Is also C & D suited. HIGHLY DECORATED (Justin Snaith) makes her debut. Watch the betting. MARIE BARCELO made a good debut last time despite racing green. Has Karl Neisius riding. Respect. SAINT DEPORTISTA runs for the nineteenth time but has steady, but unspectacular form. RUSH FOR ROSES weakens but is never too far back.

RACE 3: Maiden Juvenile Plate 1600m Straight

INTO THE WIND (Dean Kannemeyer/Karl Neisius) ran on strongly when showing excellent improvement last time. On that run should be the one to beat. ROVING CONSORT (Justin Snaith/Bernard Fayd'Herbe) has had three good runs and could have even more improvement to come. Should fight this one out. TITUS (Mike Bass/Aldo Domeyer) has shown improvement in each run since making his debut three runs back. TRIUMVIRATE (Vaughan Marshall) stayed on last time. Has also been improving gradually. EARTHWIND'NFIRE (Vaughan Marshall) has had had four promising runs. Will win his maiden soon.

RACE 4: Maiden Juvenile Plate (F) 1600m Straight

HALF MOON HOTEL (Vaughan Marshall/MJ Byleveld) has been running on well in his last few starts. Never too far back. LEAGUE OF HONOUR has also been running on well late. Should be involved in the finish. MARCHANT has good form and will be running on well. GENERAL JUBILATION (Joey Ramsden/Glen Hatt) has lost a bit of form. Could have more to find for the win. ROMEO BRAVO weakens. UNENCUMBERED weakens but has been priced up as ante post favourite.

RACE 6: MR 74 Hcp 1400m Bend

SOUTH KENSINGTON (Vaughan Marshall/MJ Byleveld) showed plenty of heart. Hardly throws in the towel. Ideally C & D suited. FINNIGAN won his maiden at the sixth attempt last time. This will be far stronger. Did finish very well when winning his maiden last time. Has finished second on three consecutive occasions this C & D. ATRIKA (Joey Ramsden/Andrew Fortune) ran a reasonable post maiden last time. That run may not be enough to win this one, which should be stiffer. ON THE ROAD (Justin Snaith/Bernard Fayd'Herbe) weakens but is never far behind. BORN TO RULE was not disgraced last time. Could find this too tough.

RACE 7: MR 80 Hcp 1800m Bend

NIGHT TRIP (Mike Bass/Bernard Fayd'Herbe) ran on strongly to win over shorter last time. Not certain to stay the extra though. Fancy trainer/jockey combination. KISANGANI ran on well in his post maiden last time. Karl Neisius rides. JOHNNY ROCKETS (Justin Snaith/Karis Teetan) runs on really strongly. First time this far. REPERTOIRE ran on last time. All three wins have been over the distance. PARADO (Joey Ramsden/Andrew Fortune) was running on in his last two. Has to have a money chance.

RACE 8: MR 72 Hcp 1000m Straight

RED BANNER (Joey Ramsden/Glen Hatt) has shown good form but may be better suited to 1200m. Nevertheless, he should feature in the finish. COVARIANCE has been displaying good form and will be running on. Well suited to this C & D. BASHIR will be finishing strongly and is even better suited to this C & D. HOTTOJETTO weakened last time but does have Karl Neisius aboard. YODAC does not have the form but he did show something last time to suggest even a surprise were he to place!
