RACE 1: Maiden Juvenile Plate 1200m Straight

ETERNAL JET (Dennis Drier/Sean Cormack), son of JET MASTER,  makes his debut. Keep an eye on the betting. PERFECT CIRCLE (Duncan Howells/Alec Forbes) also makes his debut. Could be worth following. TRIBUTE TO KYLIE has had two good runs. Bernard Fayd'Herbe to ride but not certain to get the extra 200m. TRIBAUT made a good debut last time. Should improve if running on again. GONE BABY GONE (Mike De Kock) is another first timer that could be worth checking up on.

1st –  ETERNAL JET (5/1) (4); 2nd – PERFECT CIRCLE (10); 3rd – TRIBUTE TO KYLIE (0.8/1 F) (16); 4th - TRIBAUT (15); 5th – GONE BABY GONE (6)

RACE 2: Juvenile Plate 1400m Bend

With two important scratchings, CAPTAIN'S RESERVE (Vaughan Marshall/MJ Byleveld) looks hard to oppose. Ran a good post maiden in the Grade 1 Gold Medallion a few weeks back. DREAM HUNTER (Gavin Van Zyl/Stuart Randolph) is still a maiden but got going in his second start last time. MILLENIMESTA has steady maiden form. Fifth run as a maiden. The remaining two runners will earn but have both got poor form, EMPEROR NIARCHOS, and YODA MAN.

1st – CAPTAIN'S RESERVE (0.25/1 F) (1); 2nd – DREAM HUNTER (4); 3rd – MILLENIMESTA (5); 4th - EMPEROR NIARCHOS (3); 5th – YODA MAN (7)

RACE 3: Juvenile Plate (F) 1400m Bend

MENSOORA (Mike De Kock/Anthony Delpech) won very easily by almost five lengths on debut last time. Will prefer the extra. CHELSEA (Duncan Howells/Alec Forbes) won her maiden at the second attempt last time. Can go on from this but will have to beat MENSOORA. PRINCESS AIYANA took five runs to win her maiden and ran on well to do so this C & D. Sean Cormack rides. SOPHIA has not shown in her two post maiden runs. GIRLFROMSOMEWHERE was  moderate on debut last time. Could finish fifth!

1st – MENSOORA (0.4/1 F) (2); 2nd – CHELSEA (1); 3rd – PRINCESS AIYANA (3); 4th - SOPHIA (4); 5th – GIRLFROMSOMEWHERE (6)

RACE 4: Novice Plate 1400m Bend

MERCURIAL BRAVE (Mike De Kock/Anthony Delpech) was returning from an eight month break last time. Won on debut three runs back. Will have come on with that run and looks hard to beat. Will be running on. Distance will suit. SPORTSMANSHIP ran his best post maiden run last time. Can run them close. ALDRIC won his maiden at the tenth time last time. Should have far more to find to win again this afternoon. KING JACE won his maiden at the fifth attempt last time. Has been finishing well. CAPTAINCHARM (Dean Kannemeyer/Kevin Shea) has had two weak post maiden runs. Needs to repeat Cape Town form.

1st – MERCURIAL BRAVE (0.8/1 F) (1); 2nd – SPORTSMANSHIP (9); 3rd – ALDRIC (3); 4th - KING JACE (2); 5th – CAPTAINCHARM (8)

RACE 5: Conditions Plate (F & M) 1600m Bend

EUROPE TO AFRICA (Vaughan Marshall/MJ Byleveld) returned to winning ways last time when winning by over seven lengths over 200m further. Has been running on her last two. Enjoys this track and has won here and has also won twice over 1800m. WITHOUT MALICE (Dennis Drier/Andrew Fortune) has changed stables. Did not show in a feature in Gauteng in early March. BERRY BLAZE (Mike De Kock/Sean Veale) has been improving but has her problems at the start. VIVA MARIA (Mike De Kock/Anthony Delpech) has faced far stronger and could enjoy this drop in class. BAMBINA STRIPES (Dennis Drier/Sean Cormack) is certainly not one to ignore. Has faced far stronger fields that this, but without much success.

1st – EUROPE TO AFRICA (1.4/ F) (5); 2nd – WITHOUT MALICE (1); 3rd – BERRY BLAZE (8); 4th - VIVA MARIA (2); 5th – BAMBINA STRIPES (7)

RACE 6: MR 93 Hcp 1950m Straight

MAINSPRING (Dean Kannemeyer/Anthony Delpech) came back to form well last time. Was finding a very good finish and should be right there again this afternoon. TOP MARK (Dennis Drier/Sean Cormack) has faced stronger but he hasn't won for quite a while now. Loves this C & D but has a tendency to weaken late. STORM SAGAZ is a bit inconsistent but has run well twice this C & D. LAS RAMBLAS may be improving again makes up the fifth runner that will go down to the start! Has lost form in recent times.

1st – MAINSPRING (2.8/1) (6); 2nd – TOP MARK (2.2/1 F) (2); 3rd – STORM SAGAZ (1); 4th - LAS RAMBLAS (4); 5th – BADGE OF CHOICE (5)

RACE 7: MR 72 Hcp 1950m Bend

AEGIS-FANG (Sean Tarry/Anthony Delpech) is unbeaten this C & D. Won against stronger last time when running on over this C & D. Big chance again. PUNK ROYALE has steady form and did show signs late last time. Also runs well this C & D. KING PROTEA was moderate in his post maiden last time but looks to win a few races more and could improve. DR LIVINGSTONE ram a fair post maiden last time but weakened late. TIGER CUB is never far back and did run on last time. Could surprise.

1st – AEGIS-FANG (2/1 F) (1); 2nd – PUNK ROYALE (10); 3rd – KING PROTEA (5); 4th - DR LIVINGSTONE (4); 5th – TIGER CUB (7)

RACE 8: Maiden Plate (F & M) 1000m Straight

RAD ROCK drifted in the betting at Greyville under lights on Friday night. It was not surprising that she ran accordingly. That was her first run under lights which may not have suited. Give another chance. Stable companion, PIPPI, has had two very good runs and was running on well last time. TRIX TO THE TRADE is never far back and she did run on well last time. PARTY DOLL did not show last time but two very good runs before that. DIAMOND ALLY (Dennis Drier/Sean Cormack) makes her debut. Keep an eye on the betting. Well bred daughter of CAPTAIN AL.

1st – RAD ROCK (10/1) (3); 2nd – PIPPI (2.2/1 F) (15); 3rd – TRIX OF THE TRADE (2); 4th - PARTY DOLL (1); 5th – DIAMOND ALLY (14)
