Melbourne Cup winner retired

The Gai  Waterhouse trained Melbourne Cup winner Fiorente has suffered a tendon injury and has been retired.

Fiorent,  a son of the brilliant stallion Monsun will not race again after succumbing to injury and will be retired to stud.

Fiorente earned over $6.2 million in career prizemoney.
