ELUSIVE SHADE ran on well on debut last time despite racing green. COUNT DU AMARGNAC makes is debut. Watch the betting. SEA KNIGHT also makes his debut. TIGER HOTSPUR had little to show late on debut last time. Will improve. Another first timer to consider is JOCK SILBERSTEIN.

ARCTIC KING came back to best this C & D last time. Stayed on well after a slow start. DHAARMER showed good improvement in his second run last time. Further improvement likely. FORM UP has raced green in both starts thus far. GULLWING won two runs ago but lost the race in the boardroom. Latest run was decent. MONEYBALL was a bit one-paced on debut last time.

ISHEZI showed improvement last time. Not to be ignored. TORRELAVEGA has steady form and should be in the shake up. THORNEYWOOD CHASE invariably gives up the "chase" in the latter stages. Two first timers to add into your selections are AMBER JET and TITANIA. Watch the betting on these two. TITANIA is currently ante post gavourite.

AFRICA'S SPLENDOUR runs her best over this distance. Ignore latest run over the sprint. First run at the Vaal. REBEL ICON is never far back and could be better suited to this extra trip. NOBLE WIND has been disappointing in her last three. Small money chance if repeating better form. SHE'S GOT STYLE showed small improvement last time. Could be looking for extra distance. CATCH A QUEEN showed some life last time. More to find still for the win.

OLIVE LEAF has found some problem in both of  her post maiden runs. Won on debut before that. Has scope and could put the record straight this afternoon. KINGS V is C & D suited. Chance on penultimate start, which was her best for a while. GINOCLOCK has shown improvement in her last two. SOPHIA GRACE looked the likely winner over a similar distance last time. DAYLAMITE is never far back. Watch jockey engagement.

PLATINUM JET won his maiden at the second attempt last time. That win was a very impressive one and even though I don't normally fancy horses straight out of the maidens, he looks to be above average and could repeat. WHERE'S MY CHOP won well last time. May struggle with 60kg on his back. MOOFEED has a win rate of 60% and ran and is still improving. COSMOGENIC  showed improvement last time. FANTASTIC MR FOX stayed on last time.

POLA PALACE ran a good post maiden last time and should be a factor in a tricky race. DUTY DANCE won his last two. Hat trick chance. VELDDRIFTER is in good form and will be finishing well. JOLLY GOOD SIR improved last time despite hanging late. JOLLY GOOD SIR could have a chance with the weight turn around with VELDDRIFTER. MEMEZA improved last time. Can place.

VAR BAY takes a huge drop in class. Consider in this field. Has won over 1400m. THE SAINT is never far back and finished well in his last two. Has a good shout. DA MOONSTA ran a decent post maiden last time. may have more to find for the win though. CAPTAIN'S ANCHOR improved to win his maiden at the fourth attempt last time. May need to confirm. FIGHTING FORCE drops a bit in class but did not show much in his post maiden run last time.

TIGER STORM has run well at this track and ran on over shorter last time. GLOBAL POWER has good post maiden form aand is sure to fight this one out. LESLEY STRONG faded out of it in a good run over 1600m last time. Watch over the 1400m! WOZA MADODA is a consistent place-finder and could place again. NUGGETS showed huge improvement last time and must be respected on that run.
