PRIMA FACIE is an unfancied first timer. Is well bred and yard and jockey are in good form. May have a shout. REBEL'S GAME has had two good runs and will be running on.  CHESTER'S WISH was dull and weakened on debut. Should improve. SCORECARD makes his debut. One to watch. TYGERHOOGTE has had two fair runs but needs a more sustained finish.

PENTE'S DAUGHTER was returning from a three month break last time. May have needed that run. Watch this time around. BLACK CHROME showed huge improvement when running on strongly this C & D. Should be right there.  FIRST OF MAY lost a length, raced green but ran on when making her debut last time. Should go close if showing natural improvement. PARADISE HORSE is never far back but weakened over this trip last time. SHINGLE BAY improved by eight lengths in her second start last time. Respect.

HOUSE OF LORRAINE stayed on well over 1000m at Durbanville last time. Has placed this C & D. Should give a good account of herself. SISTER ACT  was running on behind HOUSE OF LORRAINE last time. Is improving. SPORTTORIO showed some improvement last time. More to find perhaps for the win. KING'S SUMMIT is never far back. Has good form both in Cape Town and PE. AFRICAN SHOWERS needs to find more for the win.

1st – HOUSE OF LORRAINE (9/4 F) (3); 2nd – SISTER ACT (4); 3rd – SPORTTORIO (2); 4th - KING'S SUMMIT (6); 5th – AFRICAN SHOWERS (13)

4 MAN FROM JAPAN A 2 59.5 Bill Prestage Jason Smitsdorff
5 BLARNEY BAY A 9 57.5 Michael Robinson M J Byleveld
6 GOLDEN DANE A T 11 57.0 Yogas Govender Robert Khathi
7 GRASP YOUR DESTINY A 5 56.5 Mike Bass Grant Van Niekerk

11 PAOLO A 8 52.5 Justin Snaith Richard Fourie
12 SIR DUKE A 3 52.5 Dean Kannemeyer Gerrit Schlechter
13 GOLDEN CRYSTAL A B 1 52.0 Mike Bass Xavier Carstens

M'LORDS THROAT ran on well over 1800m last time when winning impressively in a similar field. Can repeat and has won twice this C & D.  Good value despite the mass although a 4kg apprentice allowance should assist. Stable companion, PAOLO, is holding form and ran on strongly last time over shorter. LAURIE'S GOLD has good form this C & D, but has been producing a weak finish. GOLDEN DANE was returning from a five month break last time. Should be fitter today. BLARNEY BAY won his last two but may be better suited to heavy going.

1st – M'LORDS THROAT (10/1) (1); 2nd – PAOLO (11); 3rd – LAURIE'S GOLD (2); 4th - GOLDEN DANE (6); 5th – BLARNEY BAY (5/2 F) (5)

10 SIDECAR A 10 55.5 Glen Puller Jason Smitsdorff
11 NEW MOON RISING A B 4 55.0 Dean Kannemeyer Gerrit Schlechter

GLENTON last ran in a feature in PE. Did not run to capabilities that day. The drop in class should suit and should be running on.  DANGEROUS LIAISON made a fair Cape Town debut at Durbanville last time. May be better suited to the Kenilworth track. Had fair Gauteng form. DIPLOMATIC did not show in heavy going last time. Good form before latest. May prefer further. FRENCH REVOLUTION won his maiden at the fourth attempt last time over this C & D. May need to confirm. FRIENDLY TIBBS has decent post maiden form.

1st – GLENTON (31/20 F) (1); 2nd – DANGEROUS LIAISON (5); 3rd – DIPLOMATIC (6); 4th - FRENCH REVOLUTION (2); 5th – FRIENDLY TIBBS (8)

11 THE MORRIGAN A B 3 54.0 Yogas Govender Glen Hatt
12 BEAUTIFUL JET A B T 9 52.5 Yogas Govender Oswald Noach

LADY KELPIE disappointed when racing wide last time. The draw this afternoon is more favourable. A difficult race. ATLANTIC OAK runs for the second time after an eleven month recess. Second run in Cape Town. Can feature if not nedding another run. SHOWDOWN has steady form but may prefer further. TAKEYOUROATH disappointed last time but returns to his favourite C & D where she has won three from her four wins. GOING MY OWN WAY has disappointed in her last two. Showed earlier promise. Don't ignore!

1st – LADY KELPIE (5/1 F) (6); 2nd – ATLANTIC OAK (2); 3rd – SHOWDOWN (5); 4th - TAKEYOUROATH (1); 5th – GOING MY OWN WAY (9)

12 SWANNEE ROSE A B 7 53.0 Joey Ramsden Victor Morake
13 CLOCKWINDER A B 11 52.0 Andries Steyn Gerrit Schlechter

JET TURBINE won her maiden at the eighth attempt last time. I do not like horses straight out of the maidens unless they win on debut but she had good form before that win and this field does not have any fearsome runners! SIX OF THE BEST got it all wrong last time but on form this C & D has to be a huge runner. SAINT SOPHIA is another with very good form this C & D and her post maiden form warrants the utmost respect. INTERNET JET has been disappointing. PRINCESS SALME has also lost form over shorter. May be better over this trip.

1st – JET TURBINE (37/10 F) (3); 2nd – SIX OF THE BEST (9); 3rd – SAINT SOPHIA (8); 4th - INTERNET JET (6); 5th –  PRINCESS SALME (2)

16 SWITCH UP A 16 60.0 Harold Crawford Divan Neethling

EXOTIC JET has been improving. Can win if getting over from a very wide draw. Has the credentials to win. SWEET CAROLYN ran his best race in six last time. Was pipped on the line. Can go close once again. CASEY'S JET has shown good form in her last three but only ran on in the second of those three. CHRISALDAME did not run to her potential last time. Better form that that run. Has an apprentice claim of 4kg. SNOW ON CEDARS ran on strongly last time under an apprentice claiming 2,5kg. He will ride her again this afternoon.

1st – EXOTIC JET (9/2 JF) (1); 2nd – SWEET CAROLYN (3); 3rd – CASEY'S JET (2); 4th - CHRISALDAME (4); 5th – SNOW ON CEDARS (9/2 JF) (9)
