The daughter of JET MASTER, AQUILA JET, also makes her debut. CHARTWELL makes her first appearance at the track while LAUGH has run twice and could prefer the shorter trip.

MADIBA'S PRIDE improved by eleven lengths in his second start last time. Respect. Should be right there. COLONEL BLING hung on debut last time. Should improve on that run. THESEUS makes his debut. PANZA has had a few moderate runs. ASTROMAN was slow and green on debut. Could place at best.

COUSIN ANNIE makes her debut. Is ante post favourite. This yard knows how to bring them on early. PRINCESS ARIEL is fast and has placed three out of four this C & D. ROYAL AND REGAL has his excuses for his mediocre latest run. REIGNING WIND makes his KZN debut. Was below par in her latest PE effort.  Hasn't run since July and could need the run. SORBONNE  runs for the fifteenth time as a maiden. Can earn.

SYLVAN JET was green on debut last time. Showed good pace and was sent off a strong favourite. Watch for improvement. VERTICAL APPROACH has not raced since August. Made a fair debut that day. Could improve on that effort. CAPTAIN'S FLIGHT has improved in his last two. Stayed on last time. SECRET TRAVELLER shows pace but weakens late. WAR REQUIEM has run well in his last two. Can feature.

TRENDY GUY showed signs of returning to form last time when he ran on well over shorter. SQUADRON was baulked late last time. Still managed to run on. Can make amends today. BURWAAZ drops in class. Post maiden form is decent. THE HELMSMAN is never far back but often finds it difficult to go on with it at the end. HENRY THE FOURTH tends to lose ground at the start. May improve.

HANA ran on strongly last time against stronger. Could do enough to win. The ante post favourite, GERMAN LADY, has shown promise and could prefer the 1600m. The blinkers come off. ALINA is never far back. Is usually slow away but finishes well. FINDING NEVERLAND was baulked last time. May get closer this afternoon. VERNA lacks a strong finish but could find a place.

MISS STINGRAY has the form to win and will be helped if the going is wet. BALL DANCER ran on in her post maiden last time after a slow start. SEBUENG cast a shoe last time but nevertheless ran well. TOO MUCH FUN runs for the third time after a rest. Could trouble the judges. ETHYLENE returned from Cape Town last time. Should give a better account of herself this afternoon.

BURRWOOD has been a consistent runner since winning her only two races in September. Has been finishing well lately. INTERFACE ACE disappointed last time but that was over 1400m. Prefers the 1000m. Big chance. THRESHOLD will try the blinkers today and was running on last time. DARWIN CUP should not be left out. Ran on last time and has a handy galopping mass. TAKAAMUL has three good latest runs but hasn't run since November and may need the run.
