Doha (Qatar) – Monday 28th April, 2014 - The Qatar prix de l’Arc de triomphe and the Qatar Arabian World Cup, which take place on the first Sunday of October at longchamp, are the two most prestigious flat races in the world for thoroughbreds and Purebred Arabians on turf.
To further enhance their reputation, France Galop, organiser of the event and the Qatar racing and equestrian club (title sponsor) are proud to announce that prize-money for both races in 2014 has been increased as follows :
- 5 million € for Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe
- 1 million € for Qatar Arabian World Cup
The increase in prize-money further cements the status of the two events as the richest flat races in the world on turf.
