Lot 32: Tiger Ridge colt
Raging Fire by Tiger Ridge out of Sister Nation

"A big strong colt with lots of scope"
His dam, Sister Nation shows lots of speed (5 Wins) being by National Assembly out of a Golden Thatch mare. She has already produced two winners with speed.
He is from the family of Star Effort (10 Wins) who was the champion three year old of South Africa. Star Magnolia a winner at two, Gathering Stars (4 Wins), Lap Of Honour (12 Wins), Pace and Power (9 Wins) and Majestic Duel (9 Wins).
His sire, Tiger Ridge, was unraced as he was injured as a two year old in America. However his pedigree is very strong as he is by the leading sire Storm Cat out of the Broodmare Of The Year - Weekend Surprise. He is the brother to AP Indy and is related to top South African sire Al Mufti as well as Wolfhound, Sportsworld and Houston Connection.
At stud Tiger Ridge was a Champion Freshman Sire in Florida and USA in 2006, 2010. He has produced a top sprinter who was exported to Dubai- Kavanagh, Summer Cup G1 winner Wagner, Triple Tiara winner Cherry on the Top and G2 KZN Guineas winner Maybe Yes .

Lot 48: Spectrum Filly
Elegant Lady by Spectrum out of Summer Samba

"A well bred daughter of Spectrum who stands over ground"
Her dam is a daughter of Miss Doolittle (4 Wins) who is a three parts sister to Eldoriza (11 Wins including Grade 1 Races) who was a South African Middle Distance Champion.
She is from the family of Bell OF Athens (5 Wins,) Happy Landing (5 Wins), Jumpin Joshua (9 Wins) and Sunsational (5 Wins)
The sire, Spectrum, is a son of Rainbow Quest, who won two Grade One races - the Irish 2000 Guineas and Champions Stakes and boasts three graded places. He was a very good race horse and a proven sire of Grade one winners including Golan (The English Guineas) Gamut, Spectatorial, Wild Iris and Barkade.
He has excelled as a brood mare sire as his daughters have produced grade one winners including Dutch Art (who is now a sire), Winchester, Prince Kaapstad, Sangster, Ethiopia, Alma Mater, Moonlight Cloud and Cedarberg.

His dam Sweet Talk won five races over ground and has produced four winners from five runners. He is from the family of Speak No Evil (9 Wins), Magical (3 Wins), Sugar Daddy (7 Wins) and Santa (8 Wins).
His sire Antonius Pius is popular in South Africa as he has produced early progeny including My Sanctuary, Yoshie , Antonius Du Bois and Arria.
Antonius Pius himself won two races and was Grade One placed on three occasions - 2nd in the Breeders Cup Mile, 3rd in the Prix de Moulin Longchamp and St James Palace Stakes. His Dam won a grade one - The Yorkshire Oaks.

The dam Sylvan Story (6 Wins) is stout and has produced four winners to date.
The dam is from the family of Mermaids Song (8 Wins,) Treasure Cove (10 Wins,) Halo (10 Wins), Gay Welshman (8 Wins) and Indian Score who has produced eight winners including Yorker (3 Grade 1 wins), Manipur (6 Wins), Kiribati (3 Wins) and Archipeligo (5 Wins)
The Sire, Mullins Bay won both in the UK and UAE including a Grade 3 Race from the age of three to five years. He's from the proven cross of Machiavillian (Mr Prospecter-line) out of a Lyphard Mare (Northern Dancer). His second dam produced the top horse Opera House (8 Wins) and who has been the champion older horse on two occasions.

Lot 114: Argonaut colt

His dam is by Spectrum and he is the second foal, the first is unraced. He is from the family of Ramp Model (3 Wins,) Studio Star (6 Wins), Rippling Ring (4 Wins), Classique Story (4 Wins) and currently- the classic colt Canterbury Tales (3 Wins)
His sire Argonaut was the Equus Champion Two Year Old Colt in South Africa having won two Grade One Races and being placed second in a Grade one race. He was exported to Australia where unfortunately he was injured and had to retire early. He himself is from the top bloodline in South Africa being by Western Winter out of the proven mare Aquasarto (Produced 10 winners!)

Her dam Madrisa won five races including The Betting World Fillies Nursery Grade 3 and the Perfect Promise Fillies Sprint. She is from the family of National Display (2 Wins), Display Model (6 Wins), Star Watch (5 Wins) and Impressive (5 Wins)
Her sire Bankable was a very good race horse having won eight races in 3 continents- UK, UAE and Singapore over three to seven years. He is from the proven Mr Prospector and Northern Dancer cross being out of a Sadler's Wells mare. Unfortunately he did not produce many offspring in the country as he died. This filly is from his first and only crop.
