PREVIEW:SCOTTSVILLE - 30 JULY 2014

GENERALISSIMO made a top debut in April and has been rested since. Should be fighting this one out. AL WAHED found good betting support on debut last time. Weakened late though. Will have come on from that run. WORSHIP DANCER also made a good debut last time despite being slow to start. MUCAJAI makes his debut. DARK SKY can only improve on a dull debut last time.

SODA FOUNTAIN makes her debut. Keep an eye on the betting. LILY GRAY has had four fair runs. Ran on last two. AQUILA JET was fast last time. Weakened late. The 1200m should suit better. FLYING LUXMI has had one decent run in four when running on. The rest have been rather miserable efforts. GOOGLE ME makes her debut. Keep an eye on this one!

MACKDESI has had two good runs this far, one over this distance. Looks the one to beat. MELSON showed good improvement when finding a good finish last time. The blinkers go on. TRANSLUNAR was not disgraced when finishing seven lengths behind MLJET last time. That run brings her right into this contest. HEPTAGON raced green and weakened late on debut last time. Should improve. OCEAN PIRATE has had two dull runs but Anton Marcus has the ride.

PEARL OYSTER BAY showed good improvement on a decent debut run two runs back. Should go close. SEA FAN got going late after a slow start last time. Should have come on from that effort. CLASSE MONDIALE has improved drastically in her last two. Not to be ignored. TIGRESS POEM has not shown in two runs. Has a definite money chance. UPSTREAM has had problems at both starts. May improve,

JET FLO drops in class and in distance. Did not show in a feature last time. VINO VERITAS faded on the polytrack last time. Could be better back on turf. DESROCHES is holding form well and is never far back. Will be running on. HANA ran on to win last time over shorter but form is patchy. AMBER ORCHID has been finishing well in her last two. Faced stronger in Gauteng. Must have a chance.

REIGNING WIND has been running on against fillies. Only win and places have been over the minimum journey. THE QUEEN is never far back and will be finishing well. KAPITAN takes on older and he won his maiden at the third attempt last time. Was an impressive winner. Could follow up. PIPPI has shown some improvement in her last few runs. Only win was this C & D. RISKY ROSCO hasn't raced since February and may need the run.

FRIAR TUCK won last time for the first time in over a year. Won well last time but this is way stronger. With a light mass could make his presence felt.  ZESTFUL was running on strongly last time on the polytrack. Good chance if brining that form to the turf. ROYAL ZULU GUARD is never far back but has run well over the distance. GITIANO did not show against stronger last time. Has faced some top class fields but will have to be at his best. IN TRIBUTE ran disappointingly last time but has claims on his best runs.

TRENDY GUY is not that consistent. Had his excuses last time but previous two starts were promising. Could be good value. SUN BAY also cast a shoe last time but against stronger. WARCRAFT won his maiden at the sixth attempt last time. Had some good place runs prior to that win. BURWAAZ has improved last few runs. Money chance. BONSAI weakens mostly. Has a chance of finding a minor placing.
