PREVIEW: GREYVILLE (POLYTRACK) DAY - 26 AUGUST 2014

NISA'S MACHINE has had four excellent runs and should be suited to this faster track. DUKE FLIES has moderate form but watch for improvement. RUMBULLION improved by twelve lengths in his second start last time. Could be worth taking a small bet on the Garth Puller treble (All To Come) for places in races 1 - 3. DE LA RIO makes his debut. Keep an eye on the betting. BRACHETTO showed big improvement last time on this surface before weakening.

TRANSLUNAR ran his best race in six last time. Anton Marcus has the ride. CASCIANO made a very good debut last time. Watch for natural improvement. SARATOGA DANCER makes his debut. The betting should be the best guide. PEARL EMBLEM showed encouraging improvement in her second start last time. Take on the boys but consider. TWENTY EIGHT NINE makes his debut. Is USA bred. One to watch!

POLAR TRIP has had two good runs from three starts. First run away from Clairwood. Looks good enough to win. MOGOKITY has been consistent in her five starts to date. Has her problems though either at the start or at the finish. COOL ENCOUNTER improved by ten lengths in her second start. Had excuses last time. ASSEZ makes her debut. Could be anything! TURBO TORCH could be improving but still has a few lengths to find.

OFF RAMP hasn't run since the last day of May. Was slow away that day but finished very well. Should be the one to beat. FLORAL SECRET is improving ever so slowly but has a money shout. NISA'S TRIP is only considered because of the trainer/jockey combination. Form is not impressive. HUNGER GAMES and GALLIC FIRE are one of three stable companions in this race who are making the debuts. Hard to assess.

PEJ has good form and drops in class from last time and is weighted with a chance. CAVIAR has good form but penultimate start which was at this track was disappointing. Handle this one with extreme caution! MY SANCTUARY has been close up in her recent starts. More often than not, weakens. PRINCESS JULIETTA has hung in her last two. COTSWOLD is a bit erratic but at best must have a shout.

NORDIC JET could be ready to improve again. SIDDHARTH appeared to like this track when running here for the first time. Strong chance. FORESTRY LAW came back to form last time when running on after a slow start. TARGET FIVE has had his problems but form is not at all bad enough to write him off. MODERN ROYAL has improved recent form. Lost ground at the start at this track last time.

FREUDIANA hasn't run since April but bounced back to form with a good finish when running on. SLEEK JET improved when racing at this track last time. CEREZA ran her best post maiden run last time. Still has some way to go. DESROCHES has a chance on post maiden form. First run this track. QAHAL'S APPLAUSE hasn't won in ages. May improve.

TIGRESS POEM finished well in her third career start last time. WEST COAST STAR ran a promising race last time when running on over this surface. Chance this time. REBEL RAIN showed the necessary improvement last time to suggest that she wont be too long in winning her maiden. BUZZ had her excuses last time. SWEET ORANGE had good form before her rest. First run since November and could need the run.
