RACE 1

ASSIMILATION has been slow away in all four starts but has recovered in each and stayed on well. Looks to have a very good chance in this field. CAPE GREY makes her debut. One to keep an eye on. SHIVRANI will need to repeat penultimate run. Money chance. KARELIA was bumped at the start last time. Ignore that run. SEMPRE SEMPRE makes her debut. Watch the betting.

1st – ASSIMILATION (6/10 F) (1); 2nd – CAPE GREY (5); 3rd – SHIVRANI (2); 4th - KARELIA (3); 5th – SEMPRE SEMPRE (10)

7 SCRATCHED

RACE 2

FLYFIRSTCLASS never showed when racing at this track two runs back. Runs well for Anton Marcus though and should have a good chance. KING OF TORTS must have a chance if finishing well. ETERNAL JET steps up in class and did finish well when winning at this track last time. ALBERT is never far back but will need a trouble free race for a change. GLASSWING tends to lose it at the start but can finish well.

1st – FLYFIRSTCLASS (286/100) (1); 2nd – KING OF TORTS (2); 3rd – ETERNAL JET (18/10 F) (4); 4th - ALBERT (6); 5th – GLASSWING (5)

RACE 3

IN SIXTY SECONDS finished like an express train at Scottsville last time. Any repeat of that finish will see her challenge for the win. HUNTER'S STRIDE made a good enough debut despite losing ground at the start last time. CHAMAYLEE makes her debut. A Mike De Kock runner. Watch the betting. SALANDER tends to weaken but has placed eleven times from seventeen runs. Deserving of her maiden win soon. CANDENAUT weakened last time in an improved run.

1st – IN SIXTY SECONDS (13/10 F) (10); 2nd – HUNTER'S STRIDE (9); 3rd – CHAMAYLEE (7); 4th - SALANDER (1); 5th – CANDENAUT (2)

Race 4 - 14.45 - 1200m

5 VARBRATION A 6 55.5 Dennis Bosch Anton Marcus
6 KINGS ARCHER A 7 55.5 Duncan Howells Sean Veale
7 GENERAL ATSO A 5 54.5 Garth Puller Nicholas Patel

RACE 4

VARBRATION ran a very good post maiden in a similar class field last time. Could provide jockey Anton Marcus with his fourth straight win of the day. NINETEEN FOURTEEN seems when he last had his maiden win but has had eleven good runs from thirteen starts. Should not be too long in pulling off his first win. GAMELOFT ran on well to win last time. Every chance of repeating that run. KINGS ARCHER won his maiden at the fourth attempt last time. More to find. PLATINUM COAST could place at best. Prefer stable companion, NINETEEN FOURTEEN.

1st – VARBRATION (5/10 F) (5); 2nd – NINETEEN FOURTEEN (3); 3rd – GAMELOFT (2); 4th - KINGS ARCHER (6); 5th – PLATINUM COAST (4)

RACE 5

BOLD INSPIRATION has won four from six and in that won his last two. Has won this track and distances either side of this one. Anton Marcus has the ride. KING NEPTUNE disappointed in his last two. Has faced stronger. Watch for a form return! ZHIVAGO is never far back. Stays on well. KING JACE has not shown in his last three but they were against stronger fields. ETON MESS needs plenty of improvement even to place in a five-horse field!

1st – BOLD INSPIRATION (4/10 F) (3); 2nd – KING NEPTUNE (5); 3rd – ZHIVAGO (6); 4th - KING JACE (2); 5th – ETON MESS (1)

8 THE BELLMAN A 1 56.0 Ivan Moore Mathew Thackeray
9 SEVENTH JOY A 4 52.5 Duncan Howells Sean Veale

RACE 6

YOUR WORSHIP has done everything in his last two runs but win. For once today Anton Marcus does not ride. PILGOVAN STAR must be respected on an improved run last time when running on late. FALLING SKY tends to weaken. Not convinced that he likes this track, but Anton Marcus rides! SUPREME LEADER has more to find but can place. GOLDEN ARM did not run well in his last two. Chance on third last run.

1st – YOUR WORSHIP (9/4 F) (2); 2nd – PILGOVAN STAR (3); 3rd – FALLING SKY (1); 4th - SUPREME LEADER (4); 5th – GOLDEN ARM (6)

RACE 7

ARTISTICALLY DONE has been running on and ran well this track in her only start here two runs ago. FINDING NEVERLAND takes a huge drop in class and should prefer this afternoon's company. CHARTWELL was not disgraced in her post maiden last time. GIJIMA SISI could find more improvement. POPULAR BLUES is never too far back.

1st – ARTISTICALLY DONE (2/1 F) (1); 2nd – FINDING NEVERLAND (3); 3rd – CHARTWELL (2); 4th - GIJIMA SISI (9); 5th – POPULAR BLUES (6)

RACE 8

KASHAN was unlucky last time. Could be improving. ROCKY BAY found a good finish last time. Enjoys this track. TEPPANYAKI ran a good post maiden last time. Took sixteen runs to win his maiden though. LUCKY BREAK showed welcome improvement last time despite weakening last few metres. Ignore the latest run of POIVRE against quite a bit stronger. Can make his presence felt in this class.

1st – KASHAN (9/2) (5); 2nd – ROCKY BAY (286/100 F) (1); 3rd – TEPPANYAKI (4); 4th - LUCKY BREAK (9); 5th – POIVRE (10)
