RACE 2
BULLETING HOME has been racing in Durban. Showed very good improvement in his second start in last time. Has been supported in the betting in both starts. MARHOOB has also had both runs in Durban, but on the polytrack. Has been close on both occasions. Will be right there. I have gone for the former on his runs that have been on grass. THATHO MAGESTIQUE hasn't run since June when he improved in his second start by twelve lengths. SPEKBOOM did show some improvement last time. Minor money chance. TUTTA MAGEE may improve on a moderate polytrack debut at Greyville last time.
1st – BULLETING HOME (9/2) (8); 2nd – MARHOOB (4/1 F) (11); 3rd – THATHO MAGESTIQUE (3); 4th - SPEKBOOM (4); 5th – TUTTA MAGEE (16)

WILD DANCER has been placed no worse than fourth in seven starts. Looks to have a smart chance. Yard is in good form. PRINCESS MILO ran on too late last time. Any place could see the quartet pay. NIGHT FALL has been improving with each run. May be better this distance. ENDEARING has shown potential. Must have a shout. WITHBATEDBREATH has had two good placed runs, the last of which was at Greyville on the polytrack.
1st – WILD DANCER (5/1) (3); 2nd – PRINCESS MILO (13); 3rd – NIGHT FALL (5); 4th - ENDEARING (4); 5th – WITHBATEDBREATH (357/100 F) (15)

ATHINA is in very good form and will be running on. Won the Fillies Classic earlier this year and has the ability to win another big race this Summer Season. ARCETRI PINK finished less than a length behind ATHINA in the Classic and has raced against some top class that have included LEGISLATE and BEACH BEAUTY. NEGEV has been a bit inconsistent but did get going late last time. BRAVO MAYA ran on well at the Vaal last time. Takes on stronger. SANTA CAROLINA has a chance. Has won 2 from 2 this C & D.
1st – ATHINA (31/20 F) (1); 2nd – ARCETRI PINK (2); 3rd – NEGEV (5); 4th - BRAVO MAYA (10); 5th – SANTA CAROLINA (4)

RACE 6
RICH GIRL has a top class record in her seven runs. Won four, placed second twice and a "no show". A promising filly and has a light mass to boot! DREAMUPONADREAM showed excellent improvement with the blinkers last time. Should be in the mix. SILVER CLASS takes on stronger than last time and may prefer this track. TAMANEE won her maiden in emphatic style last time at the second attempt. If she is good enough, and there is every indication that she could be, she could win. PIONEER SPIRIT ran on well last time. Could sneak into the places.
1st – RICH GIRL (66/10) (10); 2nd – DREAMUPONADREAM (3); 3rd – SILVER CLASS (11); 4th - TAMANEE (9/2 F) (16); 5th – PIONEER SPRINT (1)

RACE 7
KILLUA CASTLE ran well in a feature on the sand last time. Has been prepped for this race. Good value place bet. Stable companion, LOCKHEED JETSTAR, won a feature at Greyville last time. Consider. SOVEREIGN MINT has won his last four but takes on his biggest challenge to date. LOUIS THE KING, a champion who did not quite live up to his reputation in the Durban Winter Season is being aimed for the Summer Cup. He has the class to win this, if not needing the run. BOUCLETTE TOP is as honest as they come and ran on well last time. Respect the ability of RAKE'S CHESTNUT who has the ability and has finished close up to Horse of the Year, LEGISLATE.
1st – KILLUA CASTLE (15/1) (5); 2nd – LOCKHEED JETSTAR (10); 3rd – SOVEREIGN MINT (5/1 JF) (15); 4th - LOUIS THE KING (2); 5th – BOUCLETTE TOP (16); JOINT FAVOURITE - RAKE'S CHESTNUT (5/1 JF) (7)

MAJMU has won all three starts at this track. Would have won last time had she not been baulked late on. The one to beat. SIREN'S CALL is unbeaten after two starts. Has a late turn of foot and has won either side of this distance. This will be her toughest assignment to date. FLAME CAT has good form. Yard in terrific form. Won her last two and will be running on. KILEIGH has won her last three but this will be stronger opposition. ONE FINE DAY is also a top class filly and finished second, a length behind AFRIKABURN in a Grade 1 on July Day. Not to be ignored.
1st – MAJMU (13/20 F) (1); 2nd – SIREN'S CALL (5); 3rd – FLAME CAT (2); 4th - KILEIGH (3); 5th – ONE FINE DAY (4)

HARRY'S SON beat JAYYED last time but faces JAYYED on 5 kg worse terms. FIRE HORSE will be battling on late. BELONG TO ME ran on well last time. Has quite a few to beat though. RAISE THE RED also takes on stronger but won impressively last time.
1st – JAYYED (17/10 F) (5); 2nd – HARRY'S SON (1); 3rd – FIRE HORSE (4); 4th - BELONG TO ME (3); 5th – RAISE THE RED (2)

VIVA LA VAR is unbeaten after four starts. Looks difficult to oppose at the weights. Will be speedy and finding more late on. BLAZING AL has good sand form but has run well at this track. Chance if running well on turf after a lengthy absence from this surface. SHARP DESIGN must have a chance on his impeccable form this C & D. has been running on in his last two starts. TRIP TEASE has won 6 from 9 over the distance. Has been racing on sand but has won at this track. May prefer the sand for now. DE VAR HYT takes on stronger but has good form.
1st – VIVA LA VAR (17/20 F) (6); 2nd – BLAZING AL (8); 3rd – SHARP DESIGN (1); 4th - TRIP TEASE (2); 5th – DE VAR HYT (5)
