RACE 1

TRIP KINGS got going late last time but was still a distance back. May still improve. PENITENT PIRATE is normally speedy but lost ground at the start last time. SUSSUDIO didn't have the best of starts last time but still ran his best race to date, by a long way. SUN NEVER SETS could be improving. Has only placed this C & D. SPACEWAY has more to do on form.

1st – TRIP KINGS (769/100) (1); 2nd – PENITENT PIRATE (6); 3rd – SUSSUDIO (286/100 F) (5); 4th - SUN NEVER SETS (7); 5th – SPACEWAY (10)

11 WINTER APPROVAL A 5 59.0 Stuart Pettigrew Marco V'Rensburg

RACE 2

BUDDY'S FALCON has run forty times, but they say that life begins at forty! Did show improvement last time and could cause something of a surprise. WINTER APPROVAL didn't show at her second start last time. Good debut run though. KYLEMORE ABBEY weakened on debut last time. Can improve. RAINBOW WARBLER Hs shown very little but Piere Strydom has the ride. ROYAL CONSORT weakens but may place.

1st – BUDDY'S FALCON (455/100) (1); 2nd – WINTER APPROVAL (11); 3rd – KYLEMORE ABBEY (8); 4th - RAINBOW WARBLER (3); 5th – ROYAL CONSORT (2)

10 NONYA A 11 58.0 David Nieuwenhuizen Craig Zackey
11 WEST WIND ODE A 6 58.0 Mike Azzie Juan Paul V'D Merwe

RACE 3

BLANKET catches the eye. She did show substantial improvement in her second career start last time to suggest that she can pull off a surprise this afternoon. She comes from a yard that is in very good form and whose horses run well on the sand. Stable companion, SCARLETT ICE, has fair form and looks to be one of three that could fight it out. RAZZLE MY TAZZLE has had a number of chances but must be respected as favourite and with Piere Strydom aboard. Best races have been at this track. MULBERRY BAY can earn while NONYA started at 99/1 and ran accordingly but may improve.

1st – BLANKET (11/1) (9); 2nd – SCARLETT ICE (5); 3rd – RAZZLE MY TAZZLE (13/10 F) (4); 4th - MULBERRY BAY (2); 5th – NONYA (10)

12 IMPECCABLE A 12 52.0 Wallace Tolmay Francois Naude
13 GOLDEN GUINEA A B T 10 52.0 John Vos Sipho Nhlapo

RACE 4

GREEK LEGEND is unbeaten after two. Maiden win was this C & D. Finishes strongly and could make it 3 from 3. SHAKALAND has been weakening. Piere Strydom has the ride. DOUBLE BIND drops slightly in class and travels this distance for the first time. GAMBOL shows pace and is never far back. First time on the sand. Could be worth some interest. SUCHA WONDER has a claim on a vastly improved latest run.

1st – GREEK LEGEND (13/20 F) (3); 2nd – SHAKALAND (6); 3rd – DOUBLE BIND (1); 4th - GAMBOL (2); 5th – SUCHA WONDER (11)

10 DANCE CODE A 5 52.0 Mike Azzie Juan Paul V'D Merwe

RACE 5

ORCHESTRATED won his last two very authoratitively on the sand. Both runs this C & D. Drops slightly in class and has every chance of making it a hat trick. Will be finding extra late. DIE KAT ran on late last time. Only win was this C & D. SON OF APPROVAL drops in class. Chance if finishing well. RADIO WAVES weakens. MICROSTATE is 2kg better off than ORCHESTRATED for a seven length beating.

1st – ORCHESTRATED (6/10 F) (3); 2nd – DIE KAT (6); 3rd – SON OF APPROVAL (4); 4th - RADIO WAVES (2); 5th – MICROSTATE (9)

9 CAPTAIN'S DIVA A B 3 53.5 Bradley Maroun Marco V'Rensburg
10 STYLING A 10 52.0 Leon Erasmus Akash Aucharuz

RACE 6

MIDNITE SPIRIT has yet to run a bad sort of race. Both wins have been over this track. Travels the shortest route and this could suit him more. RAINY DAY was not disgraced in the fillies guineas in Cape Town last time in December. Has the ability but could need a run or two. The shorter trip could suit for today. SARVE didn't show in a feature last time. Has better form than that. SHE'S A TIGER has been ultra consistent. DASHING SCARLET had three good runs before her run in the Fillies Guineas. Out of her depth that day. Better this company.

1st – MIDNITE SPIRIT (2/1 F) (7); 2nd – RAINY DAY (1); 3rd – SARVE (6); 4th - SHE'S A TIGER (8); 5th – DASHING SCARLET (5)

11 VICTORY CRUISE A 6 53.5 Lucky Houdalakis Marco V'Rensburg

RACE 7

VULCAN won last time when racing from the front, That was a good win and he held on well. Can repeat. Loves the C & D. PINOT NOIR showed improvement last time after a flat series of dull runs. NICKLAUS has not raced for a year. Began promisingly but her latest to runs were very poor. He may improve after the break. HANG FIRE has given signs of returning to form. STAVINSKY ran on last time. May be worth considering.

1st – VULCAN (31/20 F) (6); 2nd – PINOT NOIR (5); 3rd – NICKLAUS (8); 4th - HANG FIRE (7); 5th – STAVINSKY (4)

RACE 8

TORA TORA came back to best last time, albeit on the turf. Can go close if repeating on the sand. Has won and placed this C & D. JUMBO has been running on well on both sand and turf. Should be in the shake up. LADY CASEY is battling to win her second race but last time there was some late progress in her race. BARBEL RUN is never too far back but weakens. ANGEL GABRIEL finished second at this track last Thursday. Has been consistent and should not be ignored.

1st – TORA TORA (4/1 F) (6); 2nd – JUMBO (9); 3rd – LADY CASEY (2); 4th - BARBEL RUN (1); 5th – ANGEL GABRIEL (4)
