RACE 2

LILY GRAY ran on well on the polytrack last time. Was well fancied that day. MISS PIUS ran her best run last time despite having injured her mouth in running. Chance again this afternoon. ROY'S DONKEY has had two fair runs but needs to find a better finish from somewhere. CAPTAIN KING races handily but weakens late. STRAW MAN appears to have lost form. Only places have been the two seconds she managed this C & D.

1st – LILY GRAY (2/1 F) (10); 2nd – MISS PIUS (9); 3rd – ROY'S DONKEY (8); 4th - CAPTAIN KING (5); 5th – STRAW MAN (7)

17 CATCHING ZEDS a 17 60.0 Mike Pappas Reserve 1
18 CHAI TEA A 11 59.0 Mike Pappas Reserve 2

RACE 3

SALANDER is my outsider for the meeting. She has finished second or third in 60% of all her races. Has been running on. Ran on well last time despite having received a bump at the start. Looks to be excellent value at current odds of 11/1. I will be taking each way bets on her. Watch the betting on the first timer, FIERY GODDESS, who is current ante post favourite. SPANGLE weakened late last time when making an excellent debut. The shorter trip to suit. SAFFRON makes her debut. Watch the betting. SORBONNE runs for the thirtieth time as a maiden. Some fair form.

1st – SALANDER (11/1) (2); 2nd – FIERY GODDESS (5/2 F) (9); 3rd – SPANGLE (15); 4th - SAFFRON (14); 5th – SORBONNE (1)

12 RAVISHING LILLY A 8 58.0 Mark Dixon Athandiwe Mgudlwa
13 SMART AS PAINT A 2 58.0 Dennis Bosch Alec Forbes

RACE 4

SILVER HONEY  has improved in her three runs to date. Looks hard to beat on latest. PENA PALACE ran on strongly last time and just failed to catch ICONIC DREAM. RAVISHING LILLY was slow on debut last time. Did get going late despite having raced green. Watch for significant improvement this time around. TENDERWOOD has ability and a chance if finding a good finish. DEVON BELLE has had two good runs. Yard is finding very good form.

1st – SILVER HONEY (5/2 F) (4); 2nd – PENA PALACE (6); 3rd – RAVISHING LILLY (12); 4th - TENDERWOOD (1); 5th – DEVON BELLE (10)

9 SOPHISTRY A B 4 56.0 Charles Laird Donovan Dillon
10 FLYING NIMBUS A 3 52.5 Chris Erasmus Warren Kennedy

RACE 5

CHILLINGHAM never showed his only run this distance at this track. However, he has shown improvement since that run and should be an involved runner. Has been running on in his last two starts. SHOW ME HEAVEN raced wide last time but still managed to run on. The blinkers go on. YOUR WORSHIP has been racing very well with the blinkers. She may improve with them removed! C & D suited. ICEOLITE cast a shoe in running last time. Ran an improved run that day. NISHAC also cast a shoe in running last time. Fair form. Can earn.

1st – CHILLINGHAM (9/2) (2); 2nd – SHOW ME HEAVEN (3); 3rd – YOUR WORSHIP (17/20 F) (1); 4th - ICEOLITE (5); 5th – NISHAC (7)

9 JAY POWER A T 1 51.5 Paul Lafferty Keagan De Melo
10 GOOD IDEA A B 6 51.5 Mike Pappas Callan Murray

RACE 6

ZHIVAGO has been running on well. First time on this outer track. Should go close again. First time this far. Should get the distance. BEEWITHMEE ran on well to win last time despite having cast a shoe in running. Every chance of repeating. WARCRAFT is never far back and knows how to finish well. NORDIC JET has not won for a while but has been a consistent runner. INNATE QUALITY showed form return last time. Respect.

1st – ZHIVAGO (3/1 F) (3); 2nd – BEEWITHMEE (2); 3rd – WARCRAFT (6); 4th - NORDIC JET (5); 5th – INNATE QUALITY  (4)

Race 7 - 15.15 - 2400m

6 CHASE THE CHERRY A B 5 52.0 Des Egdes Akshay Balloo
7 IT WASN'T ME A B 2 52.0 Des Egdes Mathew Thackeray

RACE 7

LILLY'S RUSH ran on strongly to win by over two lengths against slightly weaker last time. KEISATSU takes a big drop in class. Weakened badly last time but this company should make her job that much easier. Has been running on over shorter. The extra should just about suit. PROPER POSH won her maiden very easily last time. That was her fifth attempt. May need to confirm. DIVERSIFY has moderate post maiden form. Minor money chance. ASCOT CHARM showed improvement last time.

1st – LILLY'S RUSH (9/2) (4); 2nd – KEISATSU (31/20 F) (1); 3rd – PROPER POSH (2); 4th - DIVERSIFY (3); 5th – ASCOT CHARM (5)

Race 8 - 15.50 - 1600m
AR BRANDS CONDITIONS PLATE (F & M)
(For Fillies and Mares)
1 ADMIRAL'S EYE A B T 5 60.0 Charles Laird Sean Cormack
2 SUPERCEDE A 2 58.5 Pat Lunn Stuart Randolph
3 CAPTAIN'S DAUGHTER A B 7 56.5 Charles Laird Donovan Dillon
4 ROYAL DENISE (AUS) A B 3 56.5 Jeff Freedman Nicholas Patel
5 SEMRA A 4 54.0 Mike de Kock Anthony Delpech
6 SUREFIRE A 1 53.5 Duncan Howells Sean Veale
7 CAPE VESTA A 6 52.5 Pat Lunn Keagan De Melo

RACE 8

At this stage only four horses will be lining up at the start. ADMIRAL'S EYE faded badly last time. Has the class to win in a small field, where the pace could be crucial. SUREFIRE was returning to the track after a five month break last time. Was not himself. Should be a fitter proposition this afternoon. SUPERCEDE won against weaker last time. Unbeaten this C & D (2 from 2). The upset package in this small field. CAPTAIN'S DAUGHTER has improved in her last two. Latest run was a good one in a feature on the sand. Cannot ignore!

1st – ADMIRAL'S EYE (17/10 F) (1); 2nd – SUREFIRE (5); 3rd – SUPERCEDE (2); 4th - CAPTAIN'S DAUGHTER (3)

7 KINGS GOLD A B 1 52.0 Greg & Karen Anthony Muzi Yeni
8 WARWICKADALE A B 5 52.0 Corinne Bestel Warren Kennedy

RACE 9

JET ON FIRE won in a similar field by four lengths last time over the C & D. Even though that run was in July,  he does look hard to beat. LIBERTINE is never far back but steps up in class. Mass and jockey to help. KINGS GOLD is steady but did have his excuses last time. XERXES may benefit from the drop on class. Did not show at this track last time. COMMODITY STRIKE has his problems but can never be ignored.

1st – JET ON FIRE (31/20 F) (2); 2nd – LIBERTINE (5); 3rd – KINGS GOLD (7); 4th - XERXES (1); 5th – COMMODITY STRIKE (3)

13 AGE OF ELEGANCE A 6 53.0 Julie Dittmer Jarred Samuel

RACE 10

CLEAR SAILING has very good and consistent form. Only run where she never showed was at this track. Give another chance on recent form. PEACE AGAIN could be anything after her debut win last time when starting at 10/1/ Yard in good and improving form. THE QUEEN won very easily last time. Yard in excellent form. Cannot be ignored. Will be finishing strongly. KEPT SECRET ran well on the polytrack in her last two. FLYING LOOT finished well, but far too late last time. That run was this C & D.

1st – CLEAR SAILING (13/10 F) (1); 2nd – PEACE AGAIN (7); 3rd – THE QUEEN (2); 4th - KEPT SECRET (4); 5th – FLYING LOOT (8)

RACE 11

MOGOKITY has really been running well, especially over today's distance. Should go close again. DIANA'S JET was heavily backed last time but ran a poor race. Chance on the support shown last time. PEARL EMBLEM is improving with each run. Latest effort was a very promising one. ARS POETICA made a fair debut last time when starting at 33/1. CAPE GREY has not been too far off them in her last two.

1st – MOGOKITY (5/1) (6); 2nd – DIANA'S JET (5/2 F) (5); 3rd – PEARL EMBLEM (4); 4th - ARS POETICA (11); 5th – CAPE GREY (7)
