1st WINNER FOR APPRENTICE NTOKOZO GUMEDE


Ntokozo Gumede, a 4th year apprentice at the South African Jockey Academy campus at Port Elizabeth, rode his 1st winner as an apprentice jockey in Race 8 at Fairview Racecourse on Monday 9 February, aboard No. 14 "LITTLE ONE" trained by Barry Steenkamp.
Ntokozo was part of the Matric Class of 2014 at the Academy, that produced such excellent results, and at the end of the 2014 academic year relocated to the Academy campus in Port Elizabeth. Ntokozo has hit the ground running in Port Elizabeth and there sure to be many more winners from this young apprentice.
