KZN raider, SAME JURISDICTION, has won four from five starts. She was suspended for bleeding after her run in the Thekwini. After a rest that spanned a suspension of six months she returned to the track to contest the Flamouyant Stakes at Greyville the day after New Year. The result to that race was an easy four lengths win by four lengths. She looks to have the class to go all the way again this afternoon. Her quality comes to the fore when you look at two of her four runs. Once she was in season and once she bled. She should be the one to beat again this afternoon. Trained by Duncan Howells, a trainer who has great success with VIA AFRIKA and owned by Drakenstein Stud, looks to have a bright future ahead of her and the July Handicap could be3 one of her planned missions for the latter stages of the season.. SAME JURISDICTION could also be headed to the top of  her class.

Top Gauteng trainer, Sean Tarry, who has been in top form for this stage of the Gauteng season,. should be in line for a few big ones in the coming two months. He could kick off that campaign with SIREN'S CALL, a filly who has been making excellent progress, culminating with a feature race win last time. Finished second to the highly talented MAJMU three runs back. She looks to be the main challenger to SAME JURISDICTION.

PINE PRINCESS was not disgraced in the Paddock Stakes at Kenilworth last time. She will prefer being back at Turffontein to over the right handed track. Don't ignore Mike De Kock on any feature day around the country. Anthony Delpech, who rode three winners at Greyville last night, has the ride.

SMART CALL takes on much stronger this afternoon but the way in which she pulverised the field in a weaker race last time must give her something of a chance were she to repeat a similar effort this afternoon. Top jockey, Weichong Marwing has the ride again.

SENSIBLE LOVER does not have the experience but the way in which she fought on to win against slightly lower last time, suggest that she could earn something.

It does look like SAME JURISDICTION'S race, but she may not have it all her own way.
