RACE 8: CLASS 4 - 1100M (POLYTRACK) TIME: 16:25 PRIZE MONEY: S$60000

Larry says, "Another weak race, a Class 4 over 1100m on the poly and CLIP THE TICKET will not get a better chance to knock in his second win. His only win was on turf but he has been placed at his only two poly runs - in OK company. The 3YO is consistent and should be handy throughout with winkers added. GOLDEN MISSION also gets his chance; he is yet to win in Singapore but is down in grade and suited this trip and surface. Manoel Nunes and blinkers will help further. RIKIOH is resuming but he is trialing well; he has always shown some promise but has only one win to his credit. YIN JIE and XIN TREASURE rarely win but can show up in this grade. THE SITUATION is resuming and gets Michael Rodd; he could show up."

RACE 9: CLASS 5 - 1600M COURSE B (SC) TIME: 17:00 PRIZE MONEY: S$35000

Larry says, "Another ordinary race - a Class 5 over 1600m - with Stephen Gray having three of the top chances. The blinkers go on GRAND VITESS who drops in grade and is suited by this distance. RAVOUX is racing well in this grade but 1600m can be his limit. To round off the trio AFTERNOON DELIGHT has won three times at 1400m but yet to place in four attempts at the mile. The one to upset matters may be Leslie Khoo's PEREGRINE FALCON’s whose best runs have been on turf; the mile should suit and he has Manoel Nunes from the ace. Of the others, the blinkers helped GLOBAL FOCUS last start and he could go on with it; AGELESS is an honest Maiden who has placed three times from five starts at the trip and GOLDEN ROSEWOOD who ran well at his last attempt at a mile in this Grade could show up. The emergency TOUCH ME NOT is proven at this level and will make his presence felt if he gets a start and ENCOSTA ZONE gets an upgrade to M Rodd which is significant."

RACE 10: KRANJI STAKES C (SET WEIGHTS) - 1200M COURSE B (SC) TIME: 17:35 PRIZE MONEY: S$80000

Larry says, "A KSC over 1200m and SNITZEL SPIRIT was solid when resuming and is better suited on turf. Manoel Nunes will give him every chance from gate 4 and he could be the testing material. There will be plenty of speed from MYCAPTAINOBLIVIOUS with a 2kg clam for Zuriman who find this easier than last outing and should give a sight. The other speed horse is TOUCH ME NOT who was used up early and returned with a cardiac irregularity last start. He was three-from-three prior to that and he can help set a strong tempo. This will suit LIKA TIGER who got bumped and lost momentum last start; he should be running on late. Of the others Laurie Laxon’s pair IDEAL GUIDE and MAGICAL TALENT are probably being set for later events but can race well whilst fresh."

RACE 11: CLASS 4 (2) - 1400M COURSE B (SC) TIME: 18:05 PRIZE MONEY: S$60000

Larry says, "A strong Class 4 over 1200m finishes the programme. Cliff Brown has an outstanding record over both 1400m and oddly, winning the last race. The affable Aussie handler has two strong chances with YOU DA ONE who rarely runs poorly but battles to win and GOLD DANCER who should improve over his favourite trip. BLACK SNOW races well in this grade and should be in the finish for young Zawari. The blinker pacifiers come off HE’S A STRIKER who disappointed last start but gets Manoel Nunes; his previous form was consistent and is suited here. MEAISIN has been close up at his past two outings, he should be in the finish. A progressive type in BHASKARA won well last start and is a horse to follow. PINT SIZED PRINCE one to include at value after excuses last start."
