Grade 3 MAN O' WAR SPRINT - CARRY ON ALICE shows her class against the males
Trainer Sean Tarry won his third feature in consecutive races at Turffontein this afternoon when his three year old filly, CARRY ON ALICE showed her class when beating a useful filed. This was also a good day for her sire, CAPTAIN AL. That was also his third success on the day.
PRECURSOR was the first to show from CAPTAIN ALICE and these two dictated the pace down the straight. CARRY ON ALICE was always travelling comfortably and with six hundred metres left to go CARRY ON ALICE was in command. AMAZING STRIKE moved up into a challenging position but that never materialised.
The result was never in doubt. The next three runners, DOING IT FOR DAN, BELONG TO ME and ONE FINE DAY finished strongly to take minor money.
The win was the fourth of her career and pushes her earnings up to just beyond R600 000.
