RACE 1:
MEMPHIS MAFIA ran his best race in three last time when going down by a whisker. He finished well. MINNAROOM has had two decent runs to date. Should be a factor. MR HANSEN showed some improvement in his second run last time. JAY R makes his debut. Keep an eye on the betting. GRACIOUS GIRL makes her debut. Takes on an all-male field.

RACE 2:
KANARA won her maiden very well last time. That was her second run. May need to confirm but looks hard to oppose. SEVENTH MISSION is still improving but is still a maiden. SHIRAZ CABERNET won her maiden by almost eight lengths last time. That was her fourth run. Respect on the ease with which she won that day. MOCK MAMBO disappointed in her post maiden last time. Give another chance. HIGH FASHION finished second to SHIRAZ CABERNET on her debut. Won last time but has more to do. Watch for natural improvement though.

RACE 3:
CAPE ZETHYR showed some improvement in his second start last time. Can cause an upset if continuing to improve. PLAIN OF WISDOM is back over his more favoured distance. BERTLE TURTLE was not at best last time. Respect previous form. HIDDEN DRAGON has more to find but has S'Manga Khumalo aboard. Ignore the latest run of DANCE AND DESTROY but may improve if repeating previous runs.

RACE 4:
MUNAASEB has been knocking at the door for a long time now. Always has a chance of cracking that elusive maiden win. TRIPSWITCH improved slightly with blinkers last time. Has them on again today. VALMODE has disappointed in his last two. Did have an excuse last time. MAMBO ITALIANO ran his best race in five last time. May need to confirm that improvement. UNBROKEN is marginally better in PE than Gauteng. May still have some improvement to make.
1st - MUNAASEB (4); 2nd - TRIPSWITCH (7); 3rd - VALMODE (11); 4th - MAMBO ITALIANO (2); 5th - UNBROKEN (3)
RACE 5:
DUKE OD DESTINY showed very good improvement four runs back when winning well over this C & D. That was his only run this C & D. GRAPE VINE has found some form in recent runs and drops in class. JAY RADICAL has finished far closer in his last two. Has to have a shout. MENSA is never too far back and should be staying on. SOLEIL ROYAL has improved since winning in his maiden four runs back. Should be a factor.

RACE 6:
STRAW MARKET has good form and drops in class. Has improved in PE. DE LA DANZA has his problems but could go close this afternoon. May cause a surprise. BOLT OF LIGHT has been weakening over further. may prefer being back over today's trip. KALAMAIN has not shown over further. Watch back over the shorter distance. WOODEN STAR is inconsistent.

RACE 7:
PRESIDENT OF POP was unlucky last time as he was forced to ease out. Watch for further improvement. VAUCLAIR ran on well last time. Has a good shout this afternoon. CLIFTON SURF has good form against stronger. Two very good runs in last two. Will be running on. OATS has come back strongly after his run three runs back. AL DON CUMARCO is holding form well. S'Manga Khumalo has the ride for the first time

RACE 8:
THE CAPTAIN'S CAT ran a very good post maiden last time. Form is very good with a win and two seconds in his three starts. Finsihed well his latest start. TURNSTONE won well this C & D last time. can win again. SCUZAMI needs to find a better finish. WESTERN FORCE is never far back and did finish better than usual last time. Watch! AL LUNAM should have a good chance if repeating penultimate start.
