RACE 1: CLASS 5 (1) - 1200M (POLYTRACK) TIME: 18:20 PRIZE MONEY: S$35000

Larry says, "Plenty of horses in this Class 5 that are ready to win and to be honest it looks a raffle. You can make a case for at least seven of the confirmed runners including last start winner, DRAGON NINETYNINE. In saying that, the 5YO is hard to follow given he goes super when he has early speed but if his mind is not on the job, watch out punters. Of those due, GOOD LOOUKEN should be thereabouts when it matters under Mario Esposito and likewise, FLYING MISSION will win one of these sooner or later. HAPPY SAGA will be the one working into this late and the maiden, SUPER JOY, should appreciate gate 1 in this company so pay to keep safe. Of the others, BEAT TO JOY is always worth an each-way look and INFERMO looks the best value option given he sneaks back into Class 5 and should be the big improver."

RACE 2: RESTRICTED MAIDEN (2 AND 3 YEAR OLD) (WEIGHT FOR AGE) - 1200M COURSE E (LC) (TURF) TIME: 18:50 PRIZE MONEY: S$75000

Larry says, "Not many Restricted maidens have the depth we see in this quality field and the tote may give us a good guide see who of the winning hopes have stable support and who offer value. Not sure which category HUMMINGBIRD will fall into (hopefully the latter) but on his recent strong trial with blinkers, he is the one to beat. He did race greenly on debut so the head-gear looks a good move and he might be hard to catch. A few newcomers may test him with DAMON, LIM'S SPRINT and TIMO all trailing like they have a say on debut. Of the trio, DAMON from gate 4 with the in-form R Shafiq on-board looks the best option. Of the rest that win without surprising, the 2YO LIM'S CASINO has to be respected with just 50kg, AGUILA AZTECA goes mighty close if ridden on the pace, HUMDINGER improves on his solid debut with WHISPERINTHEWIND and MIRCLE MAN also in the mix."

RACE 3: KRANJI STAKES D (SET WEIGHTS) - 2200M COURSE E (LC) (TURF) TIME: 19:20 PRIZE MONEY: S$38000

Larry says, "The usual staying suspects and it may be a case of who gets the race run to suit wins. Hopefully it is an out-and-out slog-fest throughout and GALAXY EXPRESS can show his best work late. Alan Munro rides for Mr Takaoka (who has three runners) and given he comes into this with a solid Class 4 run under his belt, he could be hard to hold out. Obviously the two last start winners in PRINCE MAG and OVER EASY have to be respected while SINGSURAT is over-due to knock in another win and he should be thereabouts throughout. Of the rest, KING SAVINSKY and SHENZHOU ONE both need to win a race for followers while in form but can't be discounted."

RACE 4: OPEN (HANDICAP) - 1400M COURSE E (LC) (TURF) TIME: 19:50 PRIZE MONEY: S$125000

Larry says, "With the exception of the out-of-form RED BEARD and perhaps ACCOMPLISHED up in grade, every horse can win this. GOODMAN may be suited by the E Course and is he can get a soft lead and skip clear at the top of the albeit long straight, he can pinch this. But two horses that have gone close to winning similar affairs of late and are due in TRUDEAU and GOLD RUTILE will be keeping him honest. TRUDEAU probably keeps GOODMAN company throughout while GOLD RUTILE will be the one motoring late if race run to suit. Don't forget STEPITUP and the bang-in-form BORN TO FLY who both get claimers to help their winning cause. Great race."

RACE 5: CLASS 3 - 1600M COURSE E (LC) (TURF) TIME: 20:20 PRIZE MONEY: S$80000

Larry says, "As you would expect a very good field assembled for this Class 3 mile and EAGLE STORM gets his chance. The 5YO is very honest and given he races on the pace, he always gives you a good run for his money. Brian Dean has opted for a claimer in Zawari and the 3kg claim could just what he needs. One to watch with just 52.5kg is SMART LAD. The 3YO will find this a lot easier than the Guineas and his form prior suggests he is a horse to follow. The other smart horse, SMART IDEA, also looks a good winning hope and he should be doing best work late. Most others have to be included somewhere with ASPEN and WORLD WAR two that can win without surprising."

RACE 6: CLASS 5 (2) - 1200M (POLYTRACK) TIME: 20:50 PRIZE MONEY: S$35000

Larry says, "FISCAL WINGS goes better than most in Class 5 and looks well-placed here to show his best. Nunes goes on and the pair won the last time they got together in this same grade, track and trip. BROWNE'S ANATOMY keeps them honest though. The 5YO showed first-up after a spell he is in form and he should go very close over a trip and track he enjoys. While most others would need to be at their best to win, EASY EASY is in very good form and should figure heavily in this finish and one to watch at odds is the maiden, BRAVE TIGER, who has shown glimpses and should improve in Class 5 company."

RACE 7: KRANJI STAKES A (SET WEIGHTS) - 1000M (POLYTRACK) TIME: 21:20 PRIZE MONEY: S$125000

Larry says, "A KSA over 1000m on the poly and HUKA FALLS has an outstanding record on the surface with 11 wins including a last start success over this trip from which he drops 0.5kg. The challenger is MY LUCKY STRIKE who bolted in when resuming. The 3YO is up in grade but has won five from six on the poly and with only 52kg and Nunes aboard, will be hard to beat. It may very well be a battle between the two mentioned but FAALTLESS may be better suited here after disappointing on the turf last start and CAVALLO is always a threat in these and will be closing late."

RACE 8: CLASS 3 - 1000M (POLYTRACK) TIME: 21:50 PRIZE MONEY: S$80000

Larry says, "A very strong Class 3 over 1000m on the poly where there will be abundant speed despite a number of the better chances having drawn wide. SEBAS is very consistent at this level and will be hard to run down. BEST TOTHELIGN is resuming but has won all three poly starts and with John Powell, should be prominent throughout. SURE WIN is resuming after changing stables, he is very speedy and his recent trial suggests a bold sight despite the bad gate. CASTOR was a good 2YO who returned to form last start. He is up in grade but can make his presence felt. MINGS MAN also won well last start but this is harder. If the speedsters get the stitch EATON‘S GOLD will be the one charging late. Keep the first emergency, GATO NEGRO, safe as the race suits and he will be value."

RACE 9: CLASS 4 - 1200M COURSE E (LC) (TURF) TIME: 22:20 PRIZE MONEY: S$60000

Larry says, "A Class 4 over 1200m on the turf finishes things off. JAY EFF EXPRESS battled on well at his Singapore debut in a similar affair and he should be further improved; with Manoel Nunes aboard he should be hard to beat. COOL CAT fought on well last start in a strong BM67; he is rarely far away and may find this easier. HOME RUN HERO is a Mornington (Australia) mile maiden winner making his Singapore debut; he is trialling well and with the in-form Shafiq to ride is worth a market watch. FIVE HUNDRED BUCKS is up in grade but raced well last start and should be handy throughout. CONSTANCE’S SPIRIT is resuming after changing stables. He has been very consistent despite heat stress issues and will have benefited from recent trials; watch for support. The depth falls away after this though both emergencies CALIFORNIAN JET and CONGO ZANDOR can close strongly if they get starts."
