RACE 6: EAST CAPE BREEDERS STAKES (Listed) - Difficult race but the two year old LA REBEL may cause the upset

The lightly raced two year old LA REBEL hasn't raced for three months. She takes on much filliesd and mares, some of which have faced far stronger. LA REBEL won on debut three runs back and proceeded to run well in both post maiden runs. She tends to have a mind of her own but on her day can win this afternoon. The light mass of 53kg will help.

THE GOLDIE COAST will be finishing well but she hasn't won for well over a year. She has just switched stables from the Paul Lafferty yard to the Alan Greeff yard. She will also be making her PE debut this afternoon. She has bumped some useful fields and should enjoy this company. Three of her four wins have been over the distance. Jockey S'Manga Khumalo has been aboard her three times and has won twice.

LIELUMS drops in class and will have a good money chance if producing a good finish. Gavin Lerena rides.

YOSHIE is never too far back. She does have her problems but could quite easily win. She has won three of her six starts this C & D. She has faced stronger and cannot be ignored in this competitive field.

MISS SAIGON makes the trip from Cape Town for the Joey Ramsden yard. Karel Neisius has the ride. She will be running on and must have a shout.
