PREVIEW: VAAL (SAND) - 7 JULY 2015
This could be a nightmare of a race meeting with 17 of the horses carded to run having run either on Thursday or Saturday.
RACE 1:
SEVEN SINGLE is a son of SEVENTH ROCK. he makes his debut. Watch the betting on him as well as all other first timers in the race. CAPTAIN'S CAUSEWAY is another first timer. TEARAWAY did not show in his post maiden. May improve. THE GOLDEN BLIZZARD showed some improvement last time. BOULOGNE has a mountain to climb for the win on current form.
1st - SEVEN SINGLE (8); 2nd - CAPTAIN'S CAUSEWAY (4); 3rd - TEARAWAY (1); 4th - THE GOLDEN BLIZZARD (5); 5th - BOULOGNE (2)
RACE 2:
JUSTASH stayed on last time when improving in form. BLACKADDER has some fair recent form and could have a say in the finish. TIDE REPORT makes his debut. May be worth considering. STARLIGHT EXPLORER ran his best race in nine last time. Chance if confirming. ECLIPSE AWARD would be a surprise winner but may improve to place.

RACE 3:
IMA PERDY LADY can break her maiden if repeating her late effort last time. WINTRY NIGHT showed excellent effort in her second run last time. SARAABA may not have enjoyed the extra distance last time. Chance on penultimate. FOREVER A LADY was a big improver last time in her second start. STRICTLYCUMDANCIN has claims on best runs to date.
1st - IMA PERDY LADY (7); 2nd - WINTRY NIGHT (11); 3rd - SARAABA (10); 4th - FOREVER A LADY (5); 5th - STRICTLYCUMDANCIN (1)
RACE 4:
WALLASEY is inclined to be slow away but can come home well. ATTRACT THE CROWD runs for the fifty fifth occasion but recent form has been improved. LOVE TRYST is still improving. PRIDE IN BATTLE was unlucky in her last start. She was bumped at the start and suffered a saddle slip as well. Can make amends. YAWAYLA ALAYLA has shown nothing in both starts but may improve this distance.
1st - WALLASEY (6); 2nd - ATTRACT THE CROWD (5); 3rd - LOVE TRYST (1); 4th - PRIDE IN BATTLE (4); 5th - YAWAYLA ALAYLA (9)
RACE 5:
SONG JET did not show on Thursday at this track but has a decent enough claim on his penultimate effort this C & D. WISHFUL HEART has been improving and has to have a shout. WHERE'S MY CHOP ran well on the turf on Saturday. Definite chance on that run. HAWKSWORTH was a distance behind on Thursday. Chance on penultimate. KOSAVA will need to repeat penultimate start when losing the race on an objection.

RACE 6:
S'WAY never showed last Thursday but consider on the win this C & D two runs before that. WALKING ON AIR has some decent form. Has run well this C & D. LADY CASEY is another who ran below expectations on Thursday but can find a place at least. MOONLIT VENICE was below form last time. Can improve. CRYSTAL'S REVENGE finished fifth at this track on Thursday, but there were only seven runners that day!

RACE 7:
TO YOU has only won ion the sand but her last two runs have been very promising. BODEGA has very good form. Won his penultimate well this C & D. KALAHARI QUEEN won her maiden at the fourth try last time. Was supported in the betting in all four starts. JUMPSTART needs a more sustained finish. TUTTA MAGEE got it all wrong when fading badly last time. Will need more than a change of luck to win.

RACE 8:
DELAMERE hasn't won in ages. This will be his second run after a rest. One to watch. COMMODORE AL is inconsistent but looks to be improving. SIDECAR was moderate in Kimberley last time but he doesn't have to be brilliant to win this one! START YOUR ENGINES will need to repeat penultimate run. COLONEL ROCKJAW won his maiden in his tenth start last time. Will need to confirm that run.
