PREVIEW: SCOTTSVILLE - 8 JULY 2015
RACE 1:
AGINCOURT has been close in recent starts. Must win his debut pretty soon. Apprentice claim to assist. VARIABLE PITCH has been in good form. Good chance on form but needs a better finish. BIKINI BILLY has had two good runs. Will be in the mix. SHAMROCK SLIPPER and WHITLEY WILLOWS make their debuts. Keep a watchful eye on the betting on all first timers.

RACE 2:
WHATAWONDERFULWORLD has had two decent runs. May appreciate the extra 400m. ALESSIA can improve on a moderate debut last time. NINA KATRINA looks to have some scope despite a slow start on debut last time. SEVEN TALES has done well in both starts and could win her maiden soon. ROY'S DOLLAR stayed on last time. Place chance.

RACE 3:
RAP ATTACK raced green on debut last time but that was an encouraging start. LIGHTING THE FIRE should go close on his last two starts. Slow but runs on late. EASTER RISING ran into trouble on debut last time. Should improve on that effort. PYGAMLION ran his best race in three, which was at this track, last time. Watch for further improvement. ROY'S ROLLS ROYCE looks to have some scope. Two decent runs from three starts.
1st - RAP ATTACK (7); 2nd - LIGHTING THE FIRE (5); 3rd - EASTER RISING (2); 4th - PYGMALION (6); 5th - ROY'S ROLLS ROYCE (10)
RACE 4:
RAVISHING LILY has good form and has been running well this C & D. The one to beat. GOLDEN EARRINGS ran her best race in seven last time. Has a shout on that run. THANDA ran an improved race last time when finishing well, HIGHLY REGAL has steady form. Left his late run last time far too late. BIRKINS BEST showed improvement last time. Could be the big improver.
1st - RAVISHING LILY (1); 2nd - GOLDEN EARRINGS (7); 3rd - THANDA (3); 4th - HIGHLY REGAL (2); 5th - BIRKINS BEST (6)
RACE 5:
This should be a competitive race. KATIE OF CAMBRIDGE must have a very good chance on her very good post maiden run. Has been rested for three and a half months. TREBLE TOT stayed on this C & D last time. Improved run. GOLDEN ANSWER won her maiden at the eighth run last time. Was in good form before that. Can repeat. MELANCHETE is never far back. Can feature. FADE TO GREY did not show over shorter last time. Prefer this trip.

RACE 6:
GO WEST MCGRAW drops in class and also has an apprentice claiming 4kg. Finishes well. JEZERO raids from Gauteng. Has good form and should be one to follow. BATTLE HAMMER is never far back. Is slow away but finishes well and must have a decent chance. ECO STORM runs well this C & D and will also have an apprentice claiming 4kg. YOUR WORSHIP can make amends from last time when interfered with in running.

RACE 7:
GLORIOUS MOMENT has a chance if not losing ground at the start. Finishes well though. SYRINGA has won two of her last three starts. Hasn't run since April but could be the one to follow in this event. SURFING BELLE runs her best races at this track. Is never too far back. Finished well last time. FINDING NEVERLAND is holding form well and is not out of it in this field. MISS TEE showed big improvement when returning from a short break last time.
1st - GLORIOUS MOMENT (5); 2nd - SYRINGA (1); 3rd - SURFING BELLE (2); 4th - FINDING NEVERLAND (7); 5th - MISS TEE (3)
RACE 8:
GUEST EL GRANDE is not consistent but she must have a strong chance if she repeats her latest run. MOGOKITY may be better over slightly shorter but last run was a good one. MISS STINGRAY is usually slow but she runs well for this apprentice and should be respected. MARK MY CARD won on debut last time and could repeat. Was not supported that day. CHARTER'S CREEK won her maiden at the eighth attempt last time. Will need to confirm.
