PREVIEW: FAIRVIEW (POLYTRACK) - 31 JULY 2015

RACE 1:
BOOTY ISLAND made a good debut on Boxing Day last year but has been rested since. HASTY KITTEN has had her chances and must have a shout. GIRL IN TIME showed slight improvement in her second start last time. ROCKABELLA is improving and stayed on well in her last two. MAGIC AMEERAH has a chance in a difficult race and on best form.
1st - BOOTY ISLAND (2); 2nd - HASTY KITTEN (4); 3rd - GIRL IN TIME (3); 4th - ROCKABELLA (8); 5th - MAGIC AMEERAH (7)
RACE 2:
HIDDEN DRAGON ran on well last time and has a shout if repeating. KING ONASIS made a decent debut when starting at 50/1 last time. Will improve. UNBROKEN has shown improvement in his last two. Stayed on well last time. EN ROUTE ran his best race in four last time when making his PE debut. Good chance. SKRIK VIR NIKS is finding form again.

RACE 3:
SEVENTH BROTHER may prefer slightly further but must have a chance on his latest effort when staying on well at the end. FORT KALIMENTA ran his best race in four last time despite hurting his mouth in the process. Has only run in KZN. SPEKBOOM ran on well in his penultimate. Chance of repeating. Ignore that latest run of LATINO RAMBO as she had to run wide into the home straight. Will be doing his best work late. DANCE AND DESTROY is usually slow away. More to find. Needs to kick on.
1st - SEVENTH BROTHER (4); 2nd - FORT KALIMENTA (1); 3rd - SPEKBOOM (2); 4th - LATINO RAMBO (3); 5th - DANCE AND DESTROY (6)
RACE 4:
MASTERLY has improved since arriving in PE from Gauteng. Won both his last starts impressively. Penultimate start was won over this C & D. BOLT OF LIGHT ran an improved race last time despite fading latter stages. VINSANTO won his maiden at the third attempt last time. May have turned the corner. ZOO BISCUIT is battling to win again but did run well in earlier stages of his career. MAXIMO has a chance on his penultimate run.
1st - MASTERLY (1); 2nd - BOLT OF LIGHT (2); 3rd - VINSANTO (9); 4th - ZOO BISCUIT (6); 5th - MAXIMO (7)
RACE 5:
STRAW MARKET drops in class and has very good form and will also be running on. The one to watch closely. KALAMAIN won his last two comfortably. This is slightly stronger. TAARISH is usually slow but never showed last time over further. GOGETTHESHERIFF loves this track. Has won three from five starts at this track. ASTRO NEWS has been racing against stronger. Stayed on last time. Could feature in the latter stages.

RACE 6:
PURELY ATOMIC has good form in her last three runs with two wins and a second. All three runs since moving from Gauteng. LA REBEL won on debut and has since placed second or third in all three post maiden runs. WICKED LASS showed excellent improvement to win her maiden at the fourth attempt last time. Is still a two year old with a day to spare. FIRING QUEEN will improve on a moderate post maiden last time. ARRIA has more to find on current form but respect top trainer and jockey combination.
1st - PURELY ATOMIC (1); 2nd - LA REBEL (14); 3rd - WICKED LASS (15); 4th - FIRING QUEEN (6); 5th - ARRIA (3)
RACE 7:
CAPTAIN'S RESERVE was squeezed at the start last time. Still ran an improved race. RAZED IN BLACK is holding form well and is back over his more favoured distance. RED GUARD showed improvement last time despite a slow start. Ran on strongly late. TOUR DE VAR is holding form well and will be featuring at the finish. MESMERIZE ran his best race in a long while last time. May prefer slightly further though.
1st - CAPTAIN'S RESERVE (7); 2nd - RAZED IN BLACK (12); 3rd - RED GUARD (10); 4th - TOUR DE VAR (5); 5th - MESMERIZE (4)
RACE 8:
HAPPY LION won impressively last time. That was his first run in PE and also this C & D. Can repeat. REBEL HOUSE is in good form and loves the polytrack. JAY'S MAN ran an improved run last time when finishing well. Will neat to repeat that effort. O JALLAD has been a consistent earner and should not be ignored. MANCELLE has only won over the distance and has decent form. Stayed on well last time.
