PREVIEW: SCOTTSVILLE - 2 SEPTEMBER 2015
|
PREVIEW: SCOTTSVILLE - 2 SEPTEMBER 2015
RACE 1:
ICE RUN showed huge improvement in his third run last time. Could follow up that run with another close effort. AL WAHED has issues but has had three decent runs and could go close. CAPTAIN KING will need to repeat penultimate effort. TOONANI disappointed last time after an encouraging improved run the run before. DESERT THUNDER makes his debut. Could be anything.
1st - ICE RUN (6); 2nd - AL WAHED (1); 3rd - CAPTAIN KING (3); 4th - TOONANI (2); 5th - DESERT THUNDER (7)
RACE 2:
BRIGTNUMBERFIVE makes her debut. Could be worth considering. KAHAL filly. CHAPEL QUEEN was green on debut last time but did show some promise. ROY'S GUARDIAN has had five close up runs but has also been expensive to follow.VELVET ORCHID is a RUSSIAN SAGE filly making her debut along with another KAHAL filly, DING DING. Keep an eye on the betting on both.
1st - BRIGTNUMBERFIVE (7); 2nd - CHAPEL QUEEN (8); 3rd - ROY'S GUARDIAN (1); 4th - VELVET ORCHID (13); 5th - DING DING (10)
RACE 3:
WELL DRESSED has run three times for three close up seconds, the last of which was this C & D. Is slow but appears capable to make up the lost ground. ROY'S QUEEN showed good improvement last time over 200m shorter. One to watch. LIQUORICE MOON has only placed over today's distance. JULIE'S GIRL has had one good run in three and that was her penultimate start. AT VARIANCE has shown very little since a fair debut three runs back.
1st - WELL DRESSED (9); 2nd - ROY'S QUEEN (10); 3rd - LIQUORICE MOON (1); 4th - JULIE'S GIRL (5); 5th - AT VARIANCE (11)
RACE 4:
RIKITIKITANA drops quite sharply in class. Raced in two feature races in his last two. Should go close in this field. ROY'S ROLLS ROYCE looks to be coming to hand and is worth a decent shout this afternoon. RICOCHET FLYER has had three decent runs with a valid excuse in each. Has the ability to get it right soon. LEVI ROOTS showed some improvement last time. Place chance at best. WINTER AURALIUS has had two moderate runs.
1st - RIKITIKITANA (1); 2nd - ROY'S ROLLS ROYCE (3); 3rd - RICOCHET FLYER (2); 4th - LEVI ROOTS (4); 5th - WINTER AURALIUS (13)
RACE 5:
OBREGA has improved in her last three starts when running on. Could be the one to follow. MISS TEE runs for the third time after a break. Should be fit to strike this afternoon. Vastly improved since the rest. MISS STINGRAY is another one who has improved in her last two. Was unlucky last time when baulked at the 300m mark. IRE DE FIESTA is never far back and stayed on well last time. Money chance. WHAT AN ANSWER is improving. Third post maiden run.
1st - OBREGA (3); 2nd - MISS TEE (6); 3rd - MISS STINGRAY (8); 4th - IRE DE FIESTA (1); 5th - WHAT AN ANSWER (4)
RACE 6:
LADY AMI has been running well on the polytrack and she will be running on if acting favourably back on the turf. PRINCESS BEACH did get going late last time from a long way back. RASCALITY ran an improved post maiden race last time. Could be one to show. LIKENESS has steady form but may need more for the win. RECONSIDER BABY is never far back and could benefit from the apprentice claim of 4kg.
1st - LADY AMI (3); 2nd - PRINCESS BEACH (4); 3rd - RASCALITY (1); 4th - LIKENESS (6); 5th - RECONSIDER BABY (2)
RACE 7:
TEPPANYAKI showed improvement last time and could improve further this afternoon. BIZJET is in good form but is usually slow away. GHURKA CHIEF ran a good post maiden last time but had to race wide. TRENDY GUY is another who showed very good improvement last time and was also forced wide. EXCALIVAR finished well to win last time. May have to confirm that run.
1st - TEPPANYAKI (11); 2nd - BIZJET (4); 3rd - GHURKA CHIEF (7); 4th - TRENDY GUY (3); 5th - EXCALIVAR (6)
RACE 8:
THRESHOLD hasn't won in seven months but on the evidence of his latest run he could be a contender this afternoon. Of his four wins, three have been this C & D. MELANCHETE may be better on the polytrack but one has to consider him on his latest improved run. BURRWOOD has been finding good finishes of late and has won this C & D before. KINGS GOLD has more to find on current form but could benefit from the 4kg off his back. STAMPEDE has had issues in the past. May do enough for a minor placing cheque.
1st - THRESHOLD (8); 2nd - MELANCHETE (13); 3rd - BURRWOOD (1); 4th - KINGS GOLD (4); 5th - STAMPEDE (9)
