PREVIEW: FAIRVIEW (POLYTRACK) - 4 SEPTEMBER 2015

RACE 1:
MESSAGEINABOTTLE showed improvement last time but still weakens late. GLAM I AM is another who improved last time but she finished well. The only problem is that this will be her seventieth run. SKY FULL OF STARS has shown potential and could win his maiden sooner rather than later. LATINO RAMBO stayed on over further last time. NAVIGATE is slow to start but did show some small improvement last time.
1st - MESSAGEINABOTTLE (5); 2nd - GLAM I AM (10); 3rd - SKY FULL OF STARS (9); 4th - LATINO RAMBO (4); 5th - NAVIGATE (12)
RACE 2:
RUNAWAY TIME is in good form and will be running on. This is her forty first run as a maiden though! Has run well this C & D. SLY TACTICS ran on for fourth last time. Best run in fifteen. JOLENE has steady form and does stay on. MAGIC AMEERAH needs a stronger finish but has placed third this C & D. CLARKIE'S ONLY clipped heels last time when in a favourable position.
1st - RUNAWAY TIME (4); 2nd - SLY TACTICS (7); 3rd - JOLENE (3); 4th - MAGIC AMEERAH (11); 5th - CLARKIE'S ONLY (12)
RACE 3:
SLIP STREAM QUEEN can be expected to run well on a very good finish last time over 1200m. CONSORT won her maiden at the twenty fourth attempt last time. May repeat. Has been backed in recent starts. THE NIGHT AWAY also won her maiden last time but that was this C & D. Previous effort was also meritorious. CAPE FLYAWAY has decent turf form but did not enjoy this track last time. Give another chance. GODDESS FAUSTINA has only won this C & D and could be improving again.
1st - SLIP STREAM QUEEN (4); 2nd - CONSORT (2); 3rd - THE NIGHT AWAY (1); 4th - CAPE FLYAWAY (8); 5th - GODDESS FAUSTINA (14)
RACE 4:
PIKASTAR ran very well on the turf last time. Needs to repeat that on the polytrack this afternoon. LIGHTNING BOLT looks promising. Won his maiden impressively last time on the back of a good maiden debut run. LEMON FIZZ ran on well on the turf last time. Consider if repeating this track. BOARDWALK CLASSIC is never far back but needs a better finish. CHOPPIES has not shown in two polytrack runs but on turf last time showed some improvement.
1st - PIKASTAR (4); 2nd - LIGHTNING BOLT (6); 3rd - LEMON FIZZ (11); 4th - BOARDWALK CLASSIC (1); 5th - CHOPPIES (5)
RACE 5:
ARABICA ran on well on the polytrack again st stronger opposition last time. Has a very good chance on that improved run. FOREST NYMPH has been running on and won well against weaker last time. Is also a course winner. WITCHERY may improve with her PE debut this afternoon. Improved last three runs in Cape Town. KUMIKO did not show last time but may improve after her rest. DANCE CRITIC finished well to win over 1800m last time. May prefer the turf track.
1st - ARABICA (3); 2nd - FOREST NYMPH (9); 3rd - WITCHERY (5); 4th - KUMIKO (1); 5th - DANCE CRITIC (4)
RACE 6:
SMASHVILLE won this C & D when winning her maiden four runs back. Ran particularly well last time and should be in the firing line late on. CRACKPOT takes a rise in class. Won over shorter last time. Runs well at this track and must have a shout again. SENDINTHECLOWNS has had two decent post maiden runs and should be kicking on. FOAM PARTY is never far back. Found the last distance too far. MISS IMPERIAL runs well on the polytrack and usually runs on here.
1st - SMASHVILLE (2); 2nd - CRACKPOT (1); 3rd - SENDINTHECLOWNS (6); 4th - FOAM PARTY (4); 5th - MISS IMPERIAL (5)
RACE 7:
SILENT PARTNER has been showing improvement. Drops slightly in class. A threat. OTTIMO has a good record but hasn't won in ages. Will need to reproduce earlier form. SAMHAAN loses ground at the start but finishes strongly. Has won three from four on the polytrack. HE'S A NADOE ran his best race in a long time last time and could follow up. BRIAR KING can benefit from a light mass. Latest form is good enough to see him earn something.
1st - SILENT PARTNER (7); 2nd - OTTIMO (2); 3rd - SAMHAAN (3); 4th - HE'S A NADOE (6); 5th - BRIAR KING (9)
RACE 8:
LORD KELLY has to repeat his penultimate run when finishing strongly over shorter. Is prone to losing ground at the start. GRAPE VINE made up thirteen lengths over the last 400m to win last time over shorter. Has won this track and over this distance before. Very good chance. SOLEIL ROYAL has been running on and won this C & D last time. Can follow up. KIRBY NINJA has failed to kick on in his last two. Chance on previous. MING WARRIOR has more to find on recent form. May improve.
