Two of his three wins have been over the distance. SURRUPTITIOUS is never far back but weakens. GOTHIC was not striding out last time. Chance on previous form.

Must have a shout in this field. HAMMIE'S GAME is a LATERAL first timer. Add ROXY BABE for the scratched horse and on penultimate start.

ARCTIC TEON had very good form before a lengthy break of nine months. ORANGE TRACTOR has had two starts and has run on well in both. Today could be his day! MIDNIGHT VISION showed good improvement last time but needs to find more for the win. SHALL BE FREE has had two steady runs. Place chance. HARRY DA WHEELS is improving nicely.

The four year old son of DYNASTY, champion of the turf in his day and champion sire, has his champions son, ACT OF WAR taking part in this race. There could be two question marks against his name and these are: He hasn't raced since May and may need the run; and secondly he has yet to race at this tight Durbanville track. Looking at his class, one cannot see him being put off by either. A record of seven wins from nine starts is a record that speaks for itself. His class has never been in questions and a win in the Grade 1 Guineas at the end of the year was his most important to date. One gets the impression that he is being aimed for the J & B Met at the beginning of 2016. Anton Marcus has made the journey from Durban to ride this Ingrid and Markus Jooste four year old. He is unbeaten with Anton aboard (2 from 2).

ALPHA PEGASI has very good form and will be finishing strongly. He is well suited to the distance.

SHEER TROUBLE won his last two against slightly weaker. Will be running on and should not be ignored at any cost. SAIL FOR GOLD is a good sort worthy of supporting and could run into trifectas and quartets. MASTER'S EYE is never far back but hasn't run since June

INARA returned from a disappointing stint in KZN during their Winter Season, duly winning her comeback run over this C & D. She is an extremely talented four year old daughter of TRIPPI who is likely to prefer her home turf in the Western Cape where she has had her measures of success. Expect another good and strong finish from her and should be hard to beat. She is undoubtedly being aimed at the bigger feature races of the upcoming Summer Season.

HARVARD CRIMSON takes on much stronger abut will be finishing well. Yet to show at this track but has won over the distance. An interesting runner is COME FLY WITH ME who was defeated by INARA the last time they met. Today COME FLY WITH ME is 6kg better off for a two length defeat that day. The distance between them should be far closer. At the weights it could go the other way. Don't ignore her chances on those terms.

FEAR NOT has more to find but will be running on late. JEWELLER'S JOY needs to find more to win but could place.
