The Australian bred DANCE CITY QUEEN could be the one to follow. Watch the betting on the rest of the first timers. RUSSIAN GIRL ran a good race in her second start last time. Rested for almost seven months there has been a change of yards. LIBERTY MARKET ran on well last time in a hugely improved seventh run. One to watch closely. CHERRY HILL looks to be ready to stake a claim one of these days. Latest run very good. Watch HELLO MAH who ran well on debut last time.

RACE 2:

I like the look of the SILVANO first timer from the Andre Nel yard, SILVER ROSE. PORTMAN SQUARE has run well in all three of his starts and should have the experience to make it difficult for SILVER ROSE. WHALE TRAIL has been plodding late but still can have a say. COZZENES PRINCE has a say in the outcome of this race. MUSTANG SONNY was not too far back when finishing a fair sixth on Friday night at Greyville.

RACE 3:

This should be a closely contested race in which the first four horses could fight out the finish. HUMIDOR takes on stronger but the way in which she won her post maiden last time will be worth considering. Both wins have been this C & D and he could make it a hat trick of wins. FORTISSIMO drops in class and had excuses last time. There is every chance that he could make amends for that run. SYLVESTER THE CAT has just returned from Cape Town where he showed in his first start when starting as favourite. Even though he never won that race he did look good. Last time he faced a strong feature race field but never showed that day. Can apply pressure this field if not needing a rest. OH BOY is never too far back. PIANO MAN is not without a chance of earning something.

RACE 4:

SHINE UP has been improving again. Strangely this horse, trained in the area, has never run at Scottsville. The blinkers go on and this could have a difference to his chances, especially with the improvement last time. SYLVAN BAY ran an excellent race on the turf at Greyville last time. One to watch closely. Third run. Will go close. DHAAMER has been plodding late. Has shown some potential and should be given a winning chance in this field. IMPACT ZONE has a shout on a vastly improved latest effort, ROY'S FLY will need to repeat penultimate start.

This race is not that easy to call. Many horses could have a chance. DELIRIOUS NOMAD hit good form two runs back when he won his maiden in a dead heat decision. He followed that up with a good fourth in his post maiden. That could be good enough to see him through this afternoon. STRATEGIC'S PRIDE cannot be faulted on consistent form. One win from fourteen starts looks to be disappointing for this fellow. Will be doing his best work late. Top yard and jockey. Has to go close. SACRED JEWEL did find a good finish last time. Can finish in the top three. PROF TIGER ran on really well over 200m shorter last time and could sneak home. VARIETY ROMP has not lived up to expectation after having won on debut three runs back.

RACE 6:

QUEEN JUSTINE won her maiden over the same trip at Greyville on the polytrack two runs back. She followed that up with a very encouraging port maiden over the same C & D. That form looks to be above average and show should be the one to beat, especially with a top jockey aboard for the first time. WIND SINGER ran on well in her debut start after a slow start two runs back. She followed that up with the win last time. Looks to be above average and should be one to close extremely close. Top stable jockey aboard. NANOJET is improving again. Top three horses in this race all have top jockeys. FANTASY LADY won her maiden at the third attempt last time. May need to confirm. GAVEA GIRL was encouraging in her post maiden last time. May prefer Greyville.

RACE 7:

This is a very tricky race. The Dean Kannemeyer trained NOORDHOEK ICE makes his track debut. Is generally slow to break the line but does finish better than he starts. Looks to have the chance to win for the second time in his career. PIROGUE has shown huge improvement in his last two runs and should be the principal challenger. GROOVY NEWS is never far back and yard has been in better form. Top jockey appointed. MAACHAAN has found better form in his last three starts. Will be challenging once again. THE BADGE has something to find has top yard and jockey. Little form on the Highveld. Watch for improvement in KZN.

RACE 8:

Another difficult race. ROY'S TWILIGHT has been improving in her last two. Has also been running on. Looks the one to beat. ROY'S MONKEY has been knocking on the door. Top jockey used again this afternoon. ETERNAL BLOSSOMS has been improving steadily since having made a dull debut three runs back. Back in home territory although she has yet to run at this track. MALOU may improve with a tongue tie today. Form weak though but top jockey. CAUSEWAY BAY has been showing some improvement for which she does deserve some credit.
