The former Australian Champion Sire HUSSONET has passing in due to a stroke this morning.
Being born in 1991 he has had an amazing life… racing in the USA and standing at stud in South America, transferring to Arrowfield Stud in New South Wales in 2003, before spending the past five years at Cornerstone Stud in the Barossa Valley, South Australia.
HUSSONET’s tally of 30 Group One winners (and counting) is a truly amazing achievement. His legacy will continue through his daughters and sons at stud. His reputation as a top class broodmare sire is quickly gaining momentum.
Cornerstone Stud thanked shareholders and clients for their support of HUSSONET and the Stud over the past few years.
"Whilst he has lived to a great age of twenty-five, it is always difficult saying goodbye to a legend who was so dear to all our hearts here at Cornerstone, " said the Stud stated.
"We welcome visitors to call by the farm any time if you wish to pay your respects to a very special horse," they mentioned.
