RACE 1:
10-3-2-6-8
WILLIAM LONGSWORD made a pleasing debut last time. Yard in excellent form. PRIDE ROCK has run well in both starts. Top yard and jockey. HAVE A BALL may improve on a weak debut last time. Unfancied last time. SACRED FORT makes his debut. STUDIOLO has been showing good improvement with each run. Can go close.
RACE 2:
8-6-10-1-2
ROCK ON WOOD clearly looks the one to beat on current form. Has placed second this C & D. MOONSABALLOON has had three good runs. A likely challenger. SIGN YOUR NAME has been improving. CONTESSA CONFESSA is not too far back but weakens late. DARING MISS did not show on debut last time. Top yard and jockey. Respect.
RACE 3:
2-4-3-7-9
ROCK ON GEORDIES did not show when backed last time. Is better than latest effort. DUE WEST also had good form before his latest run. May be better over shorter though. FLYING RYAN ran on late last time. Respect. EUROKLIDON could earn something. MASTER RUNNER died not show last time. Looks to be better this distance.
RACE 4:
1-3-4-7-2
CARRIE BOW CAY ran well in her last two against stronger. Looks hard to beat. BRINKLEY ran a vastly improved race last time. Consider a threat. LIMPOPO RIVER has been consistent. Should run into the money. SILVER LAUREL has been consistent but needs a better finish. FLORRICK is C & D suited.
RACE 5:
8-11-13-10-5
CHEVAUCHEE has had three excellent post maiden seconds. Will be running on and will be hard to beat. BEACH GODDESS should also go close on form this C & D. Two wins and two seconds this C & D from five attempts with one third. LOHNROMANCE won her first two starts. Never showed last time. May improve with new jockey. SAILS SET is on the brink of a hat trick. Tow good latest. This will be tougher. DIXIE EXPRESS did not show against stronger last time. Respect yard and jockey.
RACE 6:
5-10-2-6-1
GOODTIME GAL has top form and will be running on. VARIANCE won her post maiden with ease last time. Top yard and jockey. JANE S PIDDY was finding more late last time. SUPERCILIOUS will be right there. ANGLET runs on well. Should be a factor.
RACE 7:
1-4-5-8-3
MARINARESCO won well over shorter last time. Has also run well over this distance. Top yard and jockey. WHISKY BARON will be running on. Has very good form. VILAKAZI flew late last time. PALADIN will be fighting on late but had excuses last time. READY TO ATTACK is better than his last two starts.
RACE 8:
6-10-2-5-3
BANDEROS is unbeaten this C & D (2 from 2). Has only won twice. Yard and jockey in excellent form. Should go close and goes for the hat trick. SHOUT is 1 kg better off that BANDEROS for a 0.40 length beating last time. It does look as though BANDEROS is a progressive sort. SHOUT should give a good account of himself though. DOCTOROW comes from a top[ Cape Town yard and the form has been very good. ROYAL FLYING CORPS won well last time but could have more to do. HEART OF DARKNESS has been disappointing in his last two.
