PREVIEW: FAIRVIEW (TURF) - 24 JUNE 2016

RACE 1:
 
 
ROCK DEEJAY (1) has had three runs. Two of these gave been wins with a second on debut. Looks hard to oppose on that form. The race may be on for second with ZEVENASTIC (3) the most likely to challenge. Watch a couple of first timers. FLIGHT CAPTAIN (4) and GREEN LANTERN (5) could be anything while PONT DU GARD (9) may improve.

RACE 2:
 
SEATTLE SUNRISE (7) had good post maiden form.Top yard. Looks the best equipped to win. SWEET MOLLY MALONE (18) raced green on debut last time but did run on. May be even more effective with an apprentice claim. Watch EMMYPOT (1), the two time winner from only three starts. Drops in class too. LEOPARD ORCHID (5) ran well in her post maiden last time. SILVA KEY (8) may need to confirm maiden win from latest run. Add INTISARA (12).


RACE 3:

CAPTAIN COURTEOUS (10) has not run for eleven months. On two Cape Town form runs, if not needing the run, should go close. OFF THE BIT (17) should improve on his debut run last time. SEATTLE LIGHT (1) has improved in his two runs in PE. OCEAN CROSSING (3) has been improving. NIGHT SIGN (5) has been steady. GREEN DOOR (6) stayed on well last time.

RACE 4:

LIMPOPO RIVER (1) ran her two best races in PE. Watch for another good effort. New yard. VELVET ORCHID (3) ran on well late last time. LA MYST (5) has had some legitimate excuses in recent times. NANCY CAROL (4) has not raced in seven months. May need the run. SHOCKWAVE (2) needs to find a decent finish. Add: SHIRA (6).

RACE 5:

ALL THE BIDS (9) may have found the distance too far last time. Should be better over the shorter trip. FORT KALIMENTA (13) has a chance this C & D. Finished distressed last time. BENJI’S DYNASTY (11) has had some misfortune in his last three starts. Is improving. CAPE REBEL (8) showed improved form last time. EMBLEM HONOUR (6) is better than his latest effort.

RACE 6:

THE STONES (5) has been consistent. Will be running on and has the form to win. NETHERBY HALL (2) ran on nicely as well last time. One to take not of. TEMPLE ROCK (6) should be in the shake up. FORT NAVIDAD (7) is beginning to find his feet in PE.DR FINLEY (8) could be a threat if repeating the good finish in his latest start.

RACE 7:

DYNAMITE (1) takes quite a huge drop in class. Stays on well. Good chance despite the 60 kg. RESTLESS ROAD (8) was an unlucky loser last time. Can make amends. EVENING STORM (12) can consider himself unlucky last time. Could upset in this mediocre field. KNOX (7) drops in class and could be ready to show further improvement. RUSHING LARK (9) ran on in only his second run in PE. may be ready to go closer.

RACE 8:

UNCONDITIONAL (11) has never been too far off them. She may improve with the blinkers. NEW ORLEANS SHINE (13) is improving. She ran on really well last time. STONE TOWN (14) takes a huge drop in class. If CREDIBILITY (20) she has to be included on good form. JUST LUCKY (6) can fill a placing if at best again.

BEST BET: RACE 4 NUMBER 1 LIMPOPO RIVER

BEST VALUE: RACE 1 NUMBER 1 ROCK DEEJAY

BEST OUTSIDER: RACE 8 NUMBER 11 UNCONDITIONAL
