RACE 2:

YANKEEDOODLEDANDY (2) made a winning debut last time. Could be worth following again. KAHULA (11) ran a good post maiden last time. consider in a field of largely maidens. KING OF SCOTS (4) has had two good runs. Should be finishing well. KING OF RANDOM (9) weakened in the latter stages last time. MARRON (5) has been consistent.

RACE 3:

GINGER BISCUIT (7) has good form and has does well this C & D. Ran on well last time. ISINGAMOYA (2) has good form. Good win over the distance at Scottsville last time. STRATEGIC MOVE (5) is never too far back and enjoys this track. BRAVE AND BOLD (12) could upset. WELL IN FLIGHT (1) may start improving.

RACE 4:

AL CIBERANO (4) is a strong runner this C & D. BLUNDERBUSS (10) takes on stronger but has a light mass and runs on well. TOP FORM (3) stayed on well last time to win. In good form. DUKE NUKEM (5) is never far behind. Highveld raider. Respect. SISTER COSMOS (7) was an unlucky loser last time in casting a shoe. Watch!

RACE 5:

IT IS WRITTEN (1) drops in class. yard difficult to beat in KZN. Regular KZN jockey aboard. The one to beat. REACTIVE (5) weakened late last time. Has better form. Can go close. HYAKU (4) is always capable. Top yard in the country. Watch for a good finish from CAPRIVI (6). dance on air is a likely place chance. SECRET WARNING (3) has a shout in this field.

RACE 6:

The two bottom weighted fillies could fight it out in this race. The both take on stronger but they are both capable of providing a good finish. Either JUST RAP (10) or SILVER INSPIRATION (11) could cause the upset. Their form is good but whether they have the class to outdo the more fancied entries the race is debatable The two Doug Campbell runners LALA (2) and OVERLAP (3) are both in good form. They have met far stronger and they both have top jockeys aboard. WINTER STAR (1) with top Cape Town jockey is in with a decent shout.

RACE 7:

There is no doubt that RABADA (2) is by far the best horse in this race, but whether he will be given a 'flat-out' run six runs before the July is not known. Not knowing the reasons behind his run this afternoon I am opting for NO WORRIES (3) to edge him out. RABADA  won the Grade 1 Daily News last time and should win this. NO WORRIES has good form and his run in the Lonsdale was a good one. MALAK EL MOOLOOK (7) has run against the best and should not be too far away. INTERGALACTIC (10) has a galloping mass. On best form BEZANOVA (4) has a shout.

RACE 8:

TANJIRO (6) has been very consistent. Even though he has not won in nine months he is never that far behind. Top yard. TOP SHOT (3) has top form and raids from the Highveld. SAMBORA (10) will be finishing well but is still a maiden. May still place. PENHALIGON drops in class. YER-MAAN (1) is not out of this contest.

RACE 9:

WITCHCRAFT (1) won the Oaks last week. This is a drop in class and a drop in distance. On that run last week he should fight it out. MAMASITA (2) has not raced for almost three months. Will need to repeat penultimate run. ENCHANTED SILK (4) returns from the Highveld. SUPERCEDE (3) is never too far back. PARISIENNE CHIC (7) should be finishing a finish late on.

BEST BET: RACE 5 NUMBER 1 IT IS WRITTEN
