PREVIEW: TURFFONTEIN - 17 JULY 2016
RACE 1:
TOUR OF DUTY (14) ran very well on debut last time when running on. Watch the NEW APPROACH first timer LUTE SOCIETY (6). MUNTU (8) showed very good improvement last time. Another two first timers to watch could be MIDNIGHT MEMORIES (7) and HOLY JOE (3).
RACE 2:
Magicality (9) finished well on debut last time. LEVI LADY (8) has had numerous chances and has finished in the money in all six runs. BECKONING (2) finished second this C & D last time. MIRAFLORES has had two fair runs to date. SECRET STAR (16) is a PATHFORK first timer.
RACE 3:
LEGEND SEEKER (2) had excuses last time. Can make amends. SAMMI MOOSA (8) is a MODUS VIVENDI first timer. TAKAMAKA (9) has a chance on penultimate run. VERACITY CAT (10) is a VAR first timer. May prefer shorter. FORTYSECOND STREET (1) has yet to show but watch for improvement.
RACE 4:
IN THE WEB (12) was supported on debut last time but never ran to expectations. Will improve. ROSE WATER (2) was just beaten late last time. Chance if repeating. SHINE BRIGHT (1) has had three good runs. Watch for improvement in DANNY'S WELL (8) as well as GATEWAY TO HEAVEN (11)
RACE 5:
RIKITIKITANA (2) is improving again. IMPERIAL GOLD (4) is holding form well. CINEMA SCOPE (3) stayed on in an improved run last time. DAKIWE (7) won both his starts at this track. Can earn again. CUMBERLAND (6) will need to find a better finish.
RACE 6:
OFF THE MARK (1) has been racing well and has won twice this C & D. Should be running on. PENNINGTON SANDS (2) finishes well but starts slowly. JIN-GO-LA-BA (7) finished well to win last time. ANGELIC APPEAL (7) failed to find a finish last time. Has claims though. A P'S LILY (3) will have to find more and repeat earlier form.
RACE 7:
ELUSIVE SPIRIT (2) looks set to pick up her sixth win soon. CAMBRIDGE CHOIR (1) had excuses in her last two. Can win this. HATFIELD SQUARE (3) will need to find earlier form. TIP OF THE GLACIER (5) showed improvement last time. SECRET ANGEL (9) has fair post maiden form.
RACE 8:
CALL TO BATTLE (11) stayed on when making his debut last time. AMBER FLASH (1) has been improving. Chance if overcoming respiratory noises. RONIN WARRIOR (9) has been backed in all three starts. Should win soon. FIELDMARSHAL FENIX (7) is a BRAVE TIN SOLDIER first timer. watch. KING OF CANT (13) ran his best race in five last time.
