Preview Greyville Polytrack 24 August 2016

Greyville Polytrack 24/8/2016

Race 1

1-7-8-3

1st - 1# Soldier's Bride: Has started her career with 3 smart efforts over the Greyville Polytrack, and was beaten by under a length on each occasion, she runs on gamely towards the finish, and her rider jockey Alec Forbes knows her extremely well.

2nd - 7# Just Vogue: Is a very consistent filly, and she ran the best race of her stint in training thus far last time out, she enjoys the Greyville Polytrack and she will give the top selection the most cheek.

3rd - 8# Roy Is Second: Faced far stronger in her last start, and was only beaten by 4 lengths, she has produced some good runs on turf, but it remains to be seen if she will be effective on the Greyville Polytrack.

4th - 3# HoneySuckle Rose: Returns from a 103 day break, which is a lengthy layoff, but she is capable over this course and distance and should give good account of herself.

Race 2
10-6-1-3
1st - 10 # Ice Emperor: Improved nicely last time out after producing a moderate effort on debut, this gelding enjoys the Greyville Polytrack, and he has that come on look about him, if his latest racetrack experience has brought him on, then he should go very close under top young jockey Lyle Hewitson.

2nd - 6# The King Of Random: Ran well against stronger opposition in his last start, but it will be interesting to see whether or not he handles the poly. If taking to the surface, you can expect him to be running on at the finish.

3rd - 1# Taku Wind: Is capable over this course and distance, but he is coming off a lengthy break of 341 days, he should however run into the money here, and then strip a much fitter horse next time out.

4th - 3# Whale Trial: Was dissapointing in his latest racetrack appearance, but with that said he cannot be left out of trifectas and quartets, based on the fact that he handles this course and distance well.

Race 3
2-8-1-3
1st - 2# Roy's Amazing Ash: Produced a smart run last time out when returning from a break, he should strip a much fitter horse for this contest. He has placed on both the turf and poly, and the distance is not going to be a problem for him. Top jockey Muzi Yeni takes the ride.

2nd - 8# Friend Request: Is a son of sensational young sire GimmeTheGreenlight, he enjoys this distance, but tries the poly for first time and should be very competitive here.

3rd - 1# Leonard: Returns from a 91 day break, but he should run a place if fit and ready as he enjoys this course and distance.

4th - 3# Royal Champion: Had excuses the last time he ran over this course and distance, when the saddle slipped, he still managed to run on and was only beaten by a length on that occasion, and he is better than that 8th placing would suggest. Expect an honest effort from him.

Race 4
9-12-1-3

1st - 9# Maggie Muggins: Showed great improvement second time out over this course and distance, that run should have given her some confidence, and she should go close under talented jockey, Sean Veale.

2nd - 12# Path To Glory: Came on leaps and bounds from her moderate debut, she has no issues with the course and distance, and she will give the top selection the most cheek.

3rd - 1# Disrupt: Is getting better with each and every run, with her last start being the best of her 3 career outings to date, she should give another good account of herself here.

4th -3# Alesnado: Will definitely be better over the mile, the 1400m in her last start was not ideal, this filly is capable over this course and distance, and she should be involved in the finish.

Race 5
8-3-1-5

1st - 8# Wandies: Is in excellent form at the moment, she is riding a 3 race win streak, and absolutely loves this course and distance, jockey Muzi Yeni knows her very well.

2nd - 3# Grey Light: Won a good race last time out, she might be wanting further than a mile at this stage of her career, but she is capable over this distance and will give the top selection the most cheek.

3rd - 1# Lady Of Kildare: Emerged victorious in the Off To Stud Stakes in her last start, but finds herself worse off at the weights, with that said she will still be very competitive here, as she enjoys the course and distance, and has a talented young rider up.

4th - 5# Reigning Wave: Ran a very nice race in her latest performance, she is a very honest, hard trying horse, and she should be running on towards the finish as she normally does.

Race 6
8-5-3-12

1st - 8# Seattle Belle: Ran a very nice race last time out over this course and distance, and should go very close under jockey Warren Kennedy, who knows her very well.

2nd: 5# Esperanza Fire - Can only improve on her fair post maiden run.

3rd - 3# Lady Linda: Has produced some very nice form since exiting the maidens, this may be a little short for her, but never the less expect an honest run from her.

4th - 12# Thaler Point: Gave a good account of herself on her Greyville Polytrack debut and she should once again not disgrace herself.

Race 7
1-10-5-7

1st - 1# Hannah's Answer: Took on a lot stronger last time out, and ran a good race, she enjoys this course ad distance, and will have strong rider Muzi Yeni aboard.

2nd - 10# Harvest Queen: Has never tried the mile, but the way she ran in her latest performance, indicates that the rise in trip should present no issues for her, she should be very competitive here.

3rd - 5# Northern Chorus: Was dissapointing in her last start, but having said that she will be cherry ripe for this race, and should give a good account of herself if she takes to the Greyville Polytrack

4th - 7# Jud's Express: Returns from a lengthy layoff of 91 days, however with that said she does enjoy the course and distance and gets a top young jockey up, she should not be left out of quartets.

Race 8
1-9-5-6

1st - 1# Nina Katrina: Has been a runner up in her last three outings, she loves the poly, and she is capable over this distance, she will go very close under top jockey Anton Marcus.

2nd - 9# Maybe: Produced a cracking post maiden run in her last start, and if reproduces that performance she will give the top selection the most cheek.

3rd - 5# Roy's Lioness: Returns to her preferred surface of polytrack, after a below par effort on the grass last time, expect a much better run here.

4th - 6# Fashion Talk: Ran a fair race in her latest performance, and should once again give a good account of herself.

Race 9
1-5-4-6

1st - 1# Diamond In The Sky: Must be forgiven for her last performance, which came against much stronger opposition than she meets here. She enjoys this course and distance and gets veteran jockey Anton Marcus Up.

2nd - 5# Princess Analia: Was not suited to the 5 furlong trip last time out and she should run a much better race over an extra furlong here.

3rd - 4# News Filter: Has produced to good fourths lately and can upgrade her form slightly to run into the placings.

4th - 6# Miss Broody: Did run a bad race on turf in her latest racetrack appearance, however she can at the very least run into the back end of quartets.

Best Bets: Seattle Belle (Win) Nina Katrina (win) Diamond In The Sky (Win)
Value Bets: Ice Emperor (win) Roy's Amazing Ash (win) Seattle Belle (win) Hannah's Answer (Win) Maybe (Place) Princess Analia (Place)
